Had a very nice day in Walton , ended up at the pier with a grand of children. Bought some tokens. Children had lots of rides. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Really lovely. Loved every minute. Had some food out. The front was really nice. Little bit expensive but that filled a hole. Went on the arcades children. Grandchildren loved it and so far what a lovely day on the sandy beach and watching the grandchildren play in the water but the downside had to use the toilet on the pier. It was disgusting, one toilet overflowing one toilet wouldn't flush, urinal stunk sinks were dirty, the bin was full nearly overflowing and it looked like it hadn't been checked since last week. So all I can say not to use the pier toilets. They're in need of a refurbishment it is a shame because the staff are really lovely on the pier and we had a lovely time,

It was in a sad state when we visited, buckets everywhere, dirty floors, dirty bins, everything looked rough, hope the roof gets fixed and it gets cleaned, I would like this pier to work, but it does need work.If the reply to this is that it is just fine and everyone loves it, that would be shame. I am hoping that I will be able to give a 5 star review next time I visit ( I am local )

Hadn't been here for years, how different it is now. Remember coming here as a kid on our yearly holiday and going on the pier everyday. There used to be a ferris wheel that overhung the pier slightly and my sister would rock the seat when it stopped over the water scaring the life out of me. There used to be more rides that catered for all ages where now there's more arcade machines. There are lovely views from the pier looking out to sea and along the beaches. It's a shame you can't get right to the end of the pier to appreciate the size of it, 3rd longest pier in the uk at 2600 feet and covering 5 acres. Looks like it could still do with some money spent on it to revamp it up a bit. Still worth a visit with the kids they will love it.

Went for an afternoon out with the family. We were thoroughly entertained. Really vibrant and brightly decorated, so a great arcade ambience! We had bags of fun, a really good selection of machines.

You'll have to choose from:
- Basketball orientated games
- LOADS of 2p machines
- A variety of shooting games with gun controllers
- Many digital games like; Piano tiles, Doodle Jump, and more
- Classic Pinball machines
- Dance! Dance! Revolution!
- Driving games and many more!

HOWEVER...

I do have a few setbacks with our visit in comparison to some other local arcades like Clacton Pier Arcades. But bear in mind that we we're visiting off-peak before the half-term, so some functions might still be waiting to be fixed before the busy period.

That being said, we did lose out on about half of the arcade because a lot of machines were not operational. Of those that were; I would say we ran into some type of problem with just under half of the ones we used. Missing balls, some wouldn't give tokens, some machines didn't have any sound to them. That, and none of the change machines seemed to like our cash, but I imagine that was more our money, than the machines themselves.

THE TOILETS!

The ladies bathroom was decent with a lovely view of the ocean. However, the men's was a completely different case. I've been in some grimey bathrooms, but this was just foul. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to go in there. The air was disgusting, smelt like piss, mold and more piss. There were flies absolutely everywhere, definitely breeding in those toilets. I would watch your footing in the bathroom on the way out, the steps were steeped in what I assume is condesated pee, made it very slippery, as well as disgusting. If you're a man and you need a poo, I'd recommend the pier before those toilets.

Overall, a great visit that could've been better, but could've been much worse ofcourse! I would definitely recommend if you are trying to burn an hour or less. (During off-peak)

This pier is really nice. I always come here when I'm at Walton-on-the-naze because it's really good. There are so many rides, a play area and arcades. I recommend you coming here.

The 3rd longest pier, wheelchair accessible, ideal for families alike, worth taking a camera to get that ideal photo, arcades, funfair, Activity wall, crazy golf, food court, plenty of seating, parking close by, sandy beach, small town within walking distance, the end of the pier is not accessible due to repairs but still worth the visit.

It has been years since I've been to Walton, so I took the kids for their first time there. The pier was great wristbands for rides were ÂŖ10each and you could go as many times as you like.
The queue for fish and chips were very long and the stand next to it that sells ice blasts didn't take card so we had to pay at the fish and chip shop which I wish I had known before getting fish and chips as I had to then queue twice.

There was plenty of room on the beach to set up camp. It was nice to see families playing games together. The beach huts were a beautiful sight in all the bright colours it would have been great to have our own as the little one needed a nap but luckily I had the trolley with me so they could just sleep in there.

The water was so clear I was pleasantly surprised as I was used to the muddy waters of Felixstowe. There was a section of the beach that was dog friendly, which wasn't too busy.

Finding sparking here can be difficult and you will probably have to pay as there isn't many free spots about. I think I paid ÂŖ6 for all day parking but get there before lunch because it can be carnage trying to park around the front.
