Had a fantastic time with Sky at Cluetopia. The 80s room was fantastic, with plenty of authentic tech and unique puzzles.

Sky was very attentive (even on Christmas Eve!) and helped us muddle through just in time!

Booked this for our works thing as a treat for all our hard work over xmas and couldnt have had a better time! Leigh was a wonderfull host from explaining all the info we needed, to being ready with some well timed clues! The rooms flowed well and kept us busy too! plenty of things in there to go ooh and ahhh about and no leaps of logic! This is our second visit to Cluetopia having played at Walton before and it will definitely not be our last!

Very frustrating - we played two rooms, one of them among the very best and one absolutely terrible.

Lockbuster is great, especially if you remember the old video shops and enjoy films of the 80s and 90s. Packed with references and interesting puzzles a little different to the norm, this brightly coloured and silly room is very enjoyable. Our host Rebecca made it lots of fun.

Then Calamity Mine was a true calamity. In over 50 escape rooms I've never had a host come into the room to try and solve a puzzle for us, which they then struggled with too. That broke the immersion and it was downhill from there. Our host hung around in our room telling us what to do next and we had to ask them to leave. Many puzzles were of the 'if you don't look in this one obscure place you won't solve it' variety which is not what I expect from an escape room - I want to solve a problem.

Such a mixed bag but Lockbuster comes highly recommended.

The mine cart was one of the best escape rooms I’ve done. Having different rooms in different buildings makes it feel like you have the whole place to yourselves. Excellent for a big group and Zara was a top-notch host.

Really great fun! First escape room experience for most of our team and really enjoyed it. The magic and mystery room was a great room for us with just enough challenge - we definitely needed the help from the host who was great. It was a little dark so harder for the older members of the group. The other real gripe was that there is a family ticket available if you know to go to the offers page on the website but nowhere at all in the booking process were we told about this option. This should surely be automatically applied when you select that some of the party are under 15. As a result you arrive to see all the posters advertising the deal that you could have saved £20 on. It should either be a secret deal or ideally available to all. Arriving to hear about it makes the experience start on a slightly sour note which was a shame. Overall though a great experience and will return ( whilst knowing to look for the “secret” family deal next time!)

In response to your reply I really would suggest taking feedback like this on board. As a visitor just wanting to book an escape room on in the area I wouldn’t be subscribed to your social media pages to see that a family ticket is offered. It should be a case of just clicking child ticket on the website rather than being “in the know” to find a code to find an offer. It wasn’t in any way obvious and just makes visitor’s frustrated to arrive to realise they paid £20 more than they needed. I would say either don’t have the posters everywhere on arrival or make it easier to book with this offer. (Literally an extra box to check a child place). It seems unnecessary to show people they are out of pocket as they arrive and doesn’t put your customers in the right frame of mind before they begin. We arrived happy but the first 10 minutes were spent feeling a bit pissed off which was totally unnecessary. We really enjoyed most of the visit but I’m sure you don’t want people arriving with anything less than good moods and happy to start the experience.

What’s an amazing room to try. Our host Emily 🙂 was so friendly and best of all made my boyfriend jump which is pretty hard to do !
