We always have the most wonderful holidays here. Stunning views on a small but perfectly formed site. The wooden lodges are simple, calm, clean and comfortable. There are lots of beautiful walks as well as gorgeous beaches to visit. Portscatho has many gems to offer. There is an on site swimming pool and sauna. The pizza van visits once a week which is wonderful.

I don't like to say too many good things as they may bump the prices up😅. However we have been coming here every year for around 15 years and stayed in a selection of lodges and enjoyed them all. Staff have always been lovely and the lodges nice and clean. We miss the BBQs they used to do but always enjoy the pizza with a couple of drinks at the bar. It's a shame more people don't support it. We look forward to coming back next year. Many thanks Denise

Great place to stop lovely views over the sea with plenty of lively walks. The site have visits from the pizza van fish and chip van and now the tacho van. Only thing I can say is a disappointing is that the reception closes at 5/5.30 so dose the swimming pool ☹️

Third visit and have enjoyed visiting the sights previously missed when spending all days at the beach. Our grandson enjoyed the small ferry from St.Mawes to Falmouth and his visit to the Maritime museum and a return trip on the Car ferry at King Harry from further up the estuary. We also spent a lovely sunny day in Tressilik gardens near the ferry enjoying both the shade of ancient trees , lunch in the cafe and just before we left spent nearly an hour in their second hand book shop = we left with four more books to read during the cooler days!

Lovely, peaceful place, perfect for unwinding from the rat race. The views across the Atlantic, mainly towards Towan Beach are wonderful, great for spotting shipping. nearby Portscatho is a lovely harbour town with some great walks. These are mainly wooden cabins, comfy rather than luxurious but I guess that's the point, unless you live in a mansion & expect that then you'll not be bothered, when you're able to sit out in the morning with your tea/coffee just soaking up the view and birdsong. They have various food vans coming to the site, we can definitely recommend the Tuesday pizza van - delicious. However, one major issue with the Roseland peninsula in general - not nearly enough reasonably priced places to eat for holiday makers, though maybe a sign of the times. St Mawes tends to be posh expensive eats with one or two exceptions. Portscatho has the Plume of Feathers (I'd book) which is good. The Boathouse is OK but limited & much of the time just seems like oven heat-up stuff. The Standard is like some expensive private diner's club. Other places are only open in a very limited way. Some drive out there used to be the King's Head at Ruan Lanihorne which was excellent, but it closed. There are expensive hotels with equally expensive dining. You'll eat in a lot. Note to any foodie entrepreneurs - plenty of opportunity openings on the Roseland. Falmouth has plenty of eating but due to ferry times that'll probably only be lunchtimes. None of this should stop you from visiting this lovely place, but is something to definitely keep in mind to help planning ahead.

I stayed for the Easter week at this beautiful location on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall. The lodge we stayed in was spacious and very clean with good furniture, comfy beds and everything we needed for our stay. We travelled out everyday and managed to enjoy a lot of local attractions around Truro. The staff were friendly and helpful. We even had a beautiful sea view from our lodge. I would hope to come again in the summer.

What a wonderful beautiful lodge resort. Pool is fantastic!
Suggestion improvements :
• a bi-monthly steam clean of poolside & sauna would be a big plus).
• non alcoholic cocktails 🍸 at low cost would be delightful (some sort of fridge with assortment of juices to self make with And plastic cocktail glass with a honesty payment box would be wonderful)
• Adult only (21+) swim & poolside time would be great. Ie x2 hrs…x5 evenings a week with blue led up lights and tranquil music

We stayed in E38 Bohortha (north)
Lovely, clean , nice kitchen , sofas, and decent refurb throughout. Really nice

Suggested improvements :
• Clothes drying rack required
• x2 seats and mat Rqd for upstairs balcony
• x1 reading chair Required on landing outside master bedroom
• Upstairs bathroom needs a bit of TLC to Maintain the luxury flow of the lodge and prevent it looking like a utility room
• bedroom/master bedroom needs a lock on the inside of the door
• way downstairs needs a bit of TLC and maybe a stall to sit on for put shoes on and nice cork mat

Additional Suggested improvements :
• E38 overlooks the walled Garden (e53 etc) which needs a bit of large greenery (ie palm & olive trees). to break up the dusty stone car park look for everyone.
• information sheets to include range of decent churches to consider visiting on Sunday. Couldn’t find it anyway? And a guidons Bible on the bookshelf needs to be added.

Above written by a top Magazine holiday review and TripAdvisor. I look forward to returning later this year to see the changes and updates before I review officially.

A Great place!

Welled equipped comfortable lodge in a great location for exploring the area. Friendly and helpful staff. Only small negative was that a smart tv would have been good given the long winter nights. Definitely warm and cosy for a Nov/Dec stay!
