I love Travelodge. I previously stayed in Newcastle twice and this time I found it in Nottingham so I decided to book here. What a great choice 😁 same standard as Newcastle. Clean and neat room. The most amazing thing they shifted me to the top floor room. What a view what an amazing view. Truly made my day. Amazing service and price was too low for what I got. Definitely a recommendation for a centrally located stay in Nottingham.

Stayed here several times previously. Good location easy access from the station or by road. And quick walk into the city centre.

Love the corner rooms with windows on 2 sides of the room. Very spacious rooms and bathroom.

Few issues this time. This is room 506

The outer window was open slightly letting noise in... could not close it as the handle from the mechanism was missing.

The hook on the back of the bathroom door was very loose, something that should easily have been seen.

On our last night we realised one of the bedside lights was missing a light bulb!

Ate in the bar on one evening. Good food some options short due to failed delivery. Some options also missing elements which were not made aware of which hampered the other half's enjoyment... knickerbockerglory was simply banana, ice cream and cream. Lacking sauce and fruit on top. Only apologised for when raised, wasnt even made aware of when served. Which the chef would have known about. So a little let down on our visit this time.

Just a short one night stopover. Handy for town and Rock City Happy with the hotel. Decent sized clean room, which would have got 5stars but the mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows were too hard. Buffet style breakfast which was okay but a bit slow on replenishment had to wait about 10 minutes for dishes to be refilled.

Saskia was in charge of everything. Thanks Saskia. I'm going to make a Google review because you deserve to be in charge of the entire hotel. The hotel is a good travelodge hotel, but it needs intelligent people like Saskia for turning stone into gold (perfect room for us, well delivered service and goods, problems solved in a sec, information based on communication, etc.). Owners need to know that you Saskia are the next manager.

Room was clean and quiet.
Great location close to city center.
Disappointed with the fact you can't leave your bags at the hotel before 3pm unless you pay an extra Β£10 for a early room (1hr). Travel Lodge where people are travelling. We came by train so couldn't store our luggage anywhere other than carry it round the city.

Bad experience and bad night's sleep due to the strong smell of marihuana in the corridors and/or coming from the room next to mine. In the morning, when spoken to the receptionist, first she said it's probably coming from the outside and when I insisted it was coming from the next room, she replied, 'oh, they've been evicted' - well which one is it? 2 completely different answers in 10 seconds doesn't really do much for honesty and professionalism, quite the opposite.

The hour was late, and still the rain came. As travelling musicians, we were no strangers to the Travelodge; the most minuscule of variation within the shades and shapes of each hotel as they arrived day after day was, to us, now the only vestige of joy upon which we might hope to cling. That is, until we met Elu and Dan… Now each morning shines like the first day of spring, and the weary road rolls onward upon a river of memories: of impeccable decorum; a friendly smile; and a bar which stays open to at least 4am I’m not sure, possibly later. Many thanks - 10/10 would stay again!

Stopped into Notts for a 2 night stay to meet up with visiting family who were staying in a Premier - Price different was not much, so I figured id save a few pounds and meet up with them at the pubs and restaurants...but turns out you pay cheap, you get cheap.

First impressions were good, check in was easy, staff seemed alright, place seemed quite tidy. However this was short lived - Bedroom was so outdated and very dismal with psych ward lighting and the walls covered in all sorts of marks and stains and chipped paint from god knows what.
Bed was hard as a rock, didn't sleep at all for 2 nights not to mention the noisy neighbours shouting until 2am with no input from staff to quiet down! Shower pressure was awful you'd be lucky to bathe a hamster in it let alone yourself and you can't stand up properly because the bath is absolutely tiny width-ways. First time I've ever seen a sign that shower steam can set off a fire alarm too? Never had a problem in other hotels! Not to mention lack of extractor fan...
Bathroom comes with the bare minimum, no bath mat or shower mat so ended up having to use a towel to make sure we didn't fall!! As someone with a mobility disability the whole bathroom situation was shambles, toilet shoved right up against a wall so having to sit sideways?! Luckily I am not so far as disabled but I dread to think what the situation would be in the accessible rooms.
Soap dispenser about as useful as a chocolate fireguard, and the heat in the room was overwhelming - I know it's not air conditioned but should not have to walk in and be hit with a hard wall of hot air every time we came and went despite having the radiator turned off and the useless windows open that did nothing to ease the situation.
Staff were fine and gave us extra pillows and all that, not an issue there...Polite enough but didn't seem particularly interested in guests, would rather be stood around yapping or in the office.
No plug sockets by the bed either so ended up having to charge phones across the room, or with a power bank as again there was only 1 available outlet.
Our keycards stopped working on the 2nd evening, despite having kept them in a separate bag with no phones, no electronics, nothing that could interfere - we were very lucky that this happened before 10pm because otherwise we'd have been left standing outside in the late evening where it's not particularly safe to be waiting about in a city you're unfamiliar with.
Upon check out, the reception was closed during peak check out time which was astonishing considering the evening prior, there were THREE STAFF sat around in the bar area doing nothing - why can't there be three staff available for check out concerns and issues So we couldn't even discuss our distaste and upset as she took our cards and waddled off back to the office. And to top it off, theres no luggage storage so if you've got a flight at 10pm, good luck carrying all your luggage around Nottingham for the next 7 hours πŸ‘

As mentioned, family stayed in a Premier and excluding a power cut (which was resolved by the time we were done having our meal and evening out in town!), they had a wonderful welcome with biscuits and shower mats and well temperatured rooms, luggage storage and a fantastic shower... All for an extra Β£9 a night. For sure and certain we won't be using travelodge again because what a grim experience we have endured. Not that management will care at all because by the looks of other reviews nothing ever comes of them. Don't waste your money on what I can only describe as a hotel you'd bring your blind date or mystery one night stand to. Foul. I promise you the extra few pounds a night at the premier is worth it.
