We had the pleasure of staying at the Lodge this weekend: a bespoke experience where nothing was too much trouble. Peter was a fantastic host, making us feel welcomed and at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. I really could not recommend more highly. We could order our breakfast upon request and everything was cooked fresh by Peter (the preserves were to die for). It was truly a wonderful experience and would definitely stay again.

I'm so glad I found this place to stay. I needed to be in Nottingham early morning but find the majority of hotels there pretty soulless and extortionate parking. So, searching for something outside the city centre I found The Lodge. It's very easy to get to, and near enough to make it an easy trip into the centre. ||Peter takes the experience up a notch. His attention to customer experience he's been honed over decades and has a very interesting background. As a consequence, the experience is very personal right from the start. Offering a glass of wine on arrival was very welcome, a discount at the nearby gastropub (No takeaway dinners in the rooms for understandable reasons), and a 'whatever you'd like' approach to breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, being looked after and well designed, comfortable accommodation. I hope to be back!

Extraordinary stay!! From the moment Peter picked us up at the train station until he dropped us off, we felt as if we were staying with family. Our suite was fabulous—very roomy with wonderfully tasteful furnishings. The beds were comfy, and the brand-new shower was great. It is quiet and in a lovely location. ||Peter offers the kind of personal and personalized experience that is very rare. We had lovely homemade-to-order breakfasts and Peter's guidance on things to do and where to dine. He is a wonderful host!||I cannot recommend the Lodge at Ruddington highly enough. If you are going to be anywhere near Nottingham, this is most definitely the place to stay! We cannot wait to go back.

Wanting to avoid the impersonal experience of staying in one of the chain hotels we found this little gem in Nottingham. Perfectly positioned for the university and the city centre yet situated in the quiet village of Ruddington. Peter was the perfect host. Welcoming, charming and helpful. We stayed in the Bollinger suite which was fabulous. Airy, clean, comfortable and so tastefully furnished. Over looking the golf course we had two balconies and slept with both doors open. Breakfast was delicious! We also saw the garden suite and would recommend that too. All in all we had a lovely weekend thanks to Peter and his lovely home. We cannot recommend it highly enough! We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at the Lodge en route to Northumberland. We had a really great stay. The garden room is very clean and well appointed. We were offered a drink of wine when we arrived. Peter couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We had a very comfortable night and a choice of what we wanted for breakfast. We had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. And a nice big pot of tea. Peter is a great host. We would very highly recommend the Lodge.

Brilliant stay, excellent host and stunning room. I stayed for only one night (sadly) and really wish I had a longer work trip. I stayed in the Bollinger suite which was beyond comfortable and beautifully decorated with every comfort someone could want. Peter is a wonderful host, I was greeted on arrival, shown around and even given a nice chilled glass of wine as I settled in. The lodge is set in a little haven in a quaint village and the room has views over the golf course, felt like a retreat! I will definitely be returning the first chance I get. Thank you Peter for a lovely stay.

A hidden gem. An overnight stay on a recent visit to Nottingham we were shown to the Bollinger suit. Amazing |Decor. Interior design very special, clean and comfortable. Peter - the owner - goes above and beyond to make your stay everything you wish for and more. Unusual to find such a delightful hotel.
