I want to express my sincere gratitude to Fiona for her exceptional support and compassion in helping us arrange a last-minute appointment to scatter our beloved dog Kenzo's ashes. From our first conversation, Fiona's kindness and understanding made this difficult time more bearable. We were deeply touched by the beautiful heated boat with Sikh hymns played, which thoughtfully accommodated our needs and provided a truly special send-off for Kenzo. Fiona's helpfulness and empathy made this challenging experience much easier, and we are incredibly grateful for her assistance. Thank you, Fiona, for everything you have done. We have used the boat services for Scattering Ashes on 2 occasions in the last 4 years and both occasions were conducted in a very professional manner.

I was in constant contact with Fiona months before the event planning it. We hired the boat to scatter the Ashes and had around 28 guests. We went out onto the river for around 40 minutes, seeing the sights whilst Sikh prayers were played.

We stopped at a beautiful spot overlooking a beautiful waterfall and deposited out parents Ashes in a water urn.

The staff were so respectful and made the experience amazing. We will be visiting the area again for a picnic and take in the beautiful views. Thanks again !!!

We used Bancroft Cruises to scatter my father's ashes and what can I say, from organising the service right to the end, Fiona has been nothing but welcoming and supportive. She made us all feel safe and at home with the sikh prayers and incense going. We were all so shocked that she knew and recited some of the prayers too! The boat itself was very comfortable and we were all offered tea and biscuits towards the end which was warming. Overall, I would highly recommend this service to anyone. 10/10 ☆☆☆☆☆

Serene, gorgeous - those words kept coming to mind as we cruised the River Avon with Bancroft River Cruises in September. No loud announcements over speakers, no blaring music, the guide answered questions and we had a lovely conversation with another couple. It helped us imagine Shakespeare sitting by the river and conjuring up incredible stories.

My family booked Bancroft Cruises for a Sikh ashes scattering ceremony and wish to express the level of gratitude we have for Fiona. Fiona’s knowledge and respect was matched by her calm, friendly and kind manner. She knew exactly how to settle nerves and guide us through this emotional experience.
It is undoubtedly a very privileged opportunity to host these ceremony’s and it was immediately obvious that Fiona was a true expert in this field. Her warmth and compassion shone through from the minute we met her and I cannot begin to explain just how thankful we are that she was there as we said goodbye to our father. She knew when to provide privacy and when to guide us. Her knowledge of appropriate shabads and customs is exemplary.
The ceremony ended with some masala tea and refreshments which were gratefully appreciated and Fiona’s words of comfort to our mother was a lovely touch.

Our family attended a Sikh Ashes scattering ceremony today, we were greeted by Captain Fiona such a calming influence to us on a very difficult day. Her cultural experience and understanding were amazing she even knew how to recite our prayers in punjabi. The ceremony was so peaceful within a beautiful tranquil setting. We were served lovley indian tea and biscuits. Fiona all we can say is thank you for making the day so peaceful you and your crew do a super amazing job. Took my partner's nan here and she uses a walking stick. They were very friendly and jumped to help her get in and out of the boat. They also have a guide you can listen to during the trip.

My family and I will be forever grateful to Bancroft Cruisers for making the scattering of my father's ashes a dignified, memorable and peaceful experience.
Everything was taken care of to make our day a special one. Fiona is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. She understands asian cultures and faiths as well as anybody I have met.
Prayers, joss sticks, refreshments, flower baskets, a lovely clean boat etc everything was already thought of.
I cannot recommend this company enough for anyone thinking of hiring them. They are the best in Stratford Upon Avon by far. 5 stars.
