Approximately 8 days before a land tour in France our group of 4 decided that we wanted a chauffeur/guide to take us on a 6 day tour of Normandy before a river cruise. I thought we were too late but Andrew was not only able to line up a V class Mercedes but also an absolutely excellent bilingual guide in Sergio. Sergio was knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
I would strongly recommend Andrew and if available Sergio for any land tour of Europe.
Definitely a 5 star experience.

This was our (4 ladies) feedback to My UK Tour after our recent trip to Bath, Cotswolds and Lake District but the reply was not satisfactory, refer below emails attached:
Dear Andrew,
How I wish I could be writing a Thank You letter after my return from UK. Instead, I can only provide negative feedback which I hope you will take positively.

I quote from your email of August 8, 2024:

"We offer a high quality service with your own dedicated guide and professional chauffeur throughout the tour which may account for the price difference. We are unable to offer lower prices, unless you want to "exclude" the guide from your tour or change the quality of your hotels which I do not recommend".

We agreed and accepted your offer despite having alternative offers from other parties.
However -
1. We only had a guide for only a few hours on 2 Nov afternoon and 3 Nov morning.
2.The rest of the tours were without a guide! We were simply driven from point to point and left alone to explore the various places. The driver was looking after his vehicle. Though  helpful, he was overly conscious about clocking off at 4pm.

3. Lamb Inn at Burford is a 3-star hotel. Definitely not 4!

Please advise how we can be compensated for the above shortcomings?

Andrew's reply:
-that driver, Roy was also the guide but he was hardly a guide.
He's only good in taking care of the vehicle.

-Andrew also claimed that he was informed that specialist guide arrangement was offered at the Lake District but we declined and they cancelled the guide service.
We were NOT informed/aware of the guide arrangement!!

Our bad choice of choosing My UK Tour!!

I recently got home from my trip to England with my mom and sister and I’d like to compliment our travel planner and tour guide for the perfect trip! Everything was exactly how we hoped it would be with a few extra special experiences we didn’t realize were going to be included! We loved our guide Roy. He was fun, knowledgeable and took us on some fun backroads to really give us the English countryside experience. He had a knack for being ready before we even thought to contact him. He made extra stops and moved around our plans at our request when we decided we wanted to stay longer at a favorite destination. The stops and experiences picked for us were incredible and memorable. The hotels were excellent and all included breakfast which was so nice. We really couldn’t have planned a better experience ourselves. The whole experience from initial planning to the trip itself was worth every penny we spent. Such a relief to know we didn’t have to schedule tickets, transportation and places to stay. It’s all done for you and you just sit back and enjoy!!!

I highly recommend Andrew and his team. They were punctual and responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed the three days we spent with them. We were five seniors traveling together and the pace of the tour was perfect for us. If you want to stay in London and not have to pack and go to other hotels and still see sites outside of London MyUKtour day trips are the perfect solution.

My daughter and I recently contracted with MyUKtour for 2 days of touring Stonehedge, Bath and the Cotswolds. I have to admit, I did not know the price points in the UK and it was very expensive. Nonetheless, we wanted this special trip, as we had not been together for a year. This company presents itself as a tour company. It is not. They contract a driver for you and there is very little information provided, as would be typical of a private tour. In fact, our driver had never been to the locations before and did not know a thing about where we were going other than getting there. We secured our own hotel and paid for all our own food. We were simply provided entrance tickets to Stonehedge, and we had to give ourselves a tour. However, we were supplied with a wonderful Blue Badge tour guide in Bath. He was fantastic and I wish we had more of this. For the Cotswolds, we had no tour whatsoever, as the driver simply took us to different towns and we were without information or guidance. It was very disappointing indeed. We also had a very bad incident regarding luggage and final transportation to the airport hotel. It was a crazy scene with arguing, and the tour company did not want to assist, other than saying we should hire a cab and pay for it ourselves. I sincerely think you should shop and ask pointed questions as to WHAT YOU GET in your tour. This company is rather a black box and I would not recommend.

I contracted the company with a few questions about a possible future tour. They assisted me to create a customized private 3 day 2 night package with a private driver/tour guide, car and accommodation. Andrew completely understood what was important to me as a solo traveler who doesn't drive. I am really looking forward to my March holiday in Scotland.
