I had a very good experience with true adventure as a teacher but also as an adventurer. We went to Morroco and it was great. Tim Gouge our leader was fantastic. He was extra well organised ,very patient and super professional. The students have developed an amazing relationship with him.
I definitely recommend him. He was the best leader!!!!
Thanks again for everything!

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. As a school leader, I have always been thoroughly impressed by their personal approach. All of the TA team know me personally and are incredibly quick to respond to any queries I might have. I have now run four expeditions with them and their focus on safety has always been paramount. Every student has come away from the expeditions having had the most amazing experience.

My son is recently returned from an amazing trip organised by True Adventure. Very professional, every eventuality planned for yet scope for spontaneity and independence. A good working relationship with locals meant our group could have a more authentic experience of Nepal, off the beaten track. Great communication and management by the TA staff. Highly recommend.

Would highly recommend this company. Both my daughters have been on trips with TA and had an amazing time. The planning and organisation was excellent both before and after the trips and we felt confident that the girls would be well cared for on their expedition, which as a parent is paramount.

True Adventure are a great company, I’ve been involved with them for over 5 years and have found them to be extremely professional in every aspect of what they do. They work hard with the schools and students to ensure expeditions suit the needs of the group and is a student led experience, creating scope for personal development. The expeditions are run to a high and safe standard, providing an opportunity for young people to explore the world and discover their potential. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

My son's school trip was booked with this company. It was at a cost of £4000 for a 3 week break. Children had to fund the trip themselves. Due to COVID-19 the trip was rearrange for a time my son cannot attend. . We were notified of this in December 2020.i applied for a refund of our already paid funds of over £2000. 4 months down the line and I STILL have no refund. I've been told he might have his hard earned money before SEPTEMBER!! Terrible company. I've had many holidays cancelled due to covid and have recieved a refund within an acceptable time. What upsets me more, is this is money my 17 year old has worked hard to earn!I'm DISGUSTED.

Wouldn't reccomend anyone doing it, I signed up for the expedition to Borneo aged 17 and was agreed to pay £120 per month for a year and a half to roll to the full amount of £3,700! Major family matters meant I was left paying the instalments alone working full time alongside my study's in which I payed about £1,300. After realising the stress of working 15/20 hours a week alongside 5 days a week in college was not socially, personally nor academically healthy I wanted to pull out. As a member of the family approached management about the issue they wasn't too concerned about how the pressures have burdened most aspects of my college life and more extremely my grades, the major concern to them was about the outstanding money of around £2,400 was to be paid. Concluding, I would not have to pay the remaining balance for the expedition however my money was none refundable! Just to emphasise that money in which I paid took over 300 hours to earn. Thanks TrueAdventure.

Ive recently written to watchdog regarding True advanture as I believe it is the public interest to make people aware and expose how this company operates and how hard working people are losing substantial amounts of money when dealing with this company , I believed they were part of the college at the point of sign up but soon realiised they were not after informing them that our daughter could not continue with the trip on medical grounds and after paying nearly £1900 we were informed that subject to the insurance that they had arranged we may or may not get our monety back and we must refer to the terms and conditions within the contract (we had never seen or heard of anything about terms or conditions) Our daughter is a novice when it comes to dealing with business and contracts , after receiving our cancellation, it appeared, they were only concerned about protecting their profitability and reducing their risk ( the only time we recieved terms and conditions was indeed ,after we cancelled and that was by request) this in my opinion is nothing more than sharp practice , they protect themselves by insuring you against medical curtailment and even if the insurer pays out on medical reasons True Adventure still deduct a substantial amount of money even if your cancellation is sent in 6 months in advance - we are currently writing to all the education authorities in the U. K and the secretary of state for education. advising them of our experience and reasons why we believe they should not be allowed to operate within the education sector as I am also aware of several other people who have lost every penny - True adventure should have a clear and robust process in place showing terms and conditions prior to signing up , in my opinion their methods are intenionally misleading
