I am lucky enough to live in the beautiful village of Hemingby but hired The Hayloft for a weekend to celebrate a big birthday. The property is just stunning. All the bedrooms are ensuite plus there's another toilet off of the utility room.
I had a cocktail party one night and a formal dinner the second night and the space available was perfect for both. Prior to the event I'd liaised with Rebecca regarding the table configuration and it was all in place when I arrived. Wendy popped over soon after we'd arrived to check everything was OK.

Our stay in North Cottage was a wonderful experience. John, Wendy and Rebecca (and not forgetting Indie!) were great hosts, very friendly and supportive without being obtrusive. The serenity of the surrounding farmland contributed greatly to the ambience, the village was charming and its people welcoming. The Wolds did not disappoint, beautiful scenery in early autumn garb. The cottage was spacious, well equipped and comfortable, becoming a treasured home during our stay. It was especially good that our pets were welcome. We hired the delightful beach hut for the day and enjoyed a walk along the prom. We very much hope to return to enjoy this part of Lincolnshire and Bainvalley Cottages in particular. Great memories of a special place.

We booked all the cottages for a big family get together. There were 18 of us and it was the most perfect accommodation. Being split into the separate cottages worked really well as everyone had their own space but The Hayloft was a great space for us to hold our Halloween party!! The accommodation is spotlessly clean, cosy and well equipped. Set in beautiful surroundings with a great local pub up the road. Great communication with Rebecca. Thank you Would! We booked the Hayloft to surprise 2 friends and celebrate their birthdays. We were a group of 6, and had the best weekend. Each bedroom having an en suite is ideal, there’s a lovely outdoor area for drinks or food with 3 bi-fold doors. The table inside was huge and the kitchen was stocked with enough plates, glasses and cutlery for over 12-20 people! We were able to make use of the tennis courts, the BBQ and travel to the beach. Rebecca was lovely, warm and incredibly welcoming - but also gave us a lot privacy. Perfect stay in the countryside with friends. If all cottages were booked it might not be as private - but we were fortunate to be the only ones there. Highly recommended!

If you want somewhere quiet and secluded to unwind, look no further.

A great place to stay near historic Lincoln, and the lovely market towns of Louth and Horncastle. The coast is not too far away, although sadly we didn’t get a chance to visit.

The highlight of our stay was definitely the gorgeous view. Rural idyll springs to mind. Our two young children really loved the cows!

The house itself is well equipped, comfortable, and quite recently and tastefully redone. We loved being able to sit outside in the evenings looking out over the sunset-lit fields.

What an AMAZING place to stay!
Many of our group actually live in Lincolnshire - but it was the perfect spot to get together and spend some quality time with friends.
The place gives such a calm & tranquil feel but also spot on for some games and music.
The facilities were everything we needed for a perfect weekend away.
We plan on doing it again we loved it so much!

Bainvalley Cottages was the perfect place for us to stay for the weekend of our son's wedding with family and friends. The cottages are set in stunning peaceful countryside and are all equipped to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need for a celebration weekend. In particular The Hayloft allowed us to host a pre wedding party for the groom where we could all gather and eat together, outside having a BBQ and playing outdoor games, and then inside as the evening wore in into the wee small hours. Our guests then could retreat to their own peaceful comfortable cottages, to sit in their own outdoor spaces and enjoy the views or prepare their own meals in well equipped kitchens. The friendly village pub was a short walk away and the village itself is beautiful to walk around and through. Rebecca was a fabulous host, welcoming and friendly, so helpful in answering pre visit questions and being available for any queries during our stay. Fundamentally Bainvalley cottages will be a stand out memory for us all always at such a special time in our lives .

We were here for a family wedding and it was the perfect setting, the scenery added to the relaxed feel of the hayloft, it was beautiful. We had family in another cottage and everyone came over for meals, it was perfect and we all loved every minute. We didn't want our stay to end ❤️
