A very pleasant trip on the River Medway,upriver from Tonbridge to the very end of the navigable part of the river and back to Tonbridge by the castle via a different route.
Jus £11 for almost an hour's ride on a small boat holding up to 12 passengers.
It's very peaceful, the boat is comfortable and fairly quiet.
The skipper handed out some activity sheets for the kids onboard which kept them engaged.
Parking nearby just the other side of the castle.
It's possible to rent row boats from them at the same location

Booked a boat trip today with our two children. I had been before back in July and had the same skipper, Isaac.
He was very informative and friendly and even let my two children steer the boat for a little while. They loved it!!
£10 per adult and £5 per child and it lasts about an hour.
You can book the boat privately for an hour for £100.
Up to 12 people.

Would 100% recommend!

Looking forward to booking again before the trips stop for the winter.

A huge thank you to Tonbridge River Trips.
I booked a skippered boat for the afternoon from Tonbridge last Tuesday the 27th August 2024, for a family celebration.
The weather couldn't have been more perfect, which helped towards making the afternoon one to cherish forever.
The children and the older children enjoyed helping with working the locks, followed by a picnic and a bottle of bubbly.
We saw swans, dragonflies, Herons, fish, grasssnakes, ducks and Tonbridge Castle.
Oh! and the odd Pirate

A really wonderful experience. The river cruise was so relaxing. We saw the sun setting at the beginning of the cruise and a beautiful full moon out at the end of the cruise. The ecology expert was so knowledgeable about bats. We were really lucky and saw 4 different types of bats, plus two glow worms, and a nesting heron. We were amazed at how much we saw and we had so much fun. We were even given a hot chocolate and biscuits each halfway through the journey, which was a wonderful surprise 🙂

Wonderful and informative trip! Our Captain pointed out landmarks and was well versed in Tonbridge history. The abundantly leafy banks and gently curving river were peaceful and blessed with birdsong. Highly recommend this trip!

A lovely and relaxing hour boat trip, through the shady and sun dappled rivers around Tonbridge, with views of fields and the castle, as well as tree-covered river banks and private jetties.

Listening to the lapping water and feeling the breeze as we passed paddle boarders and row boats, I was almost able to ignore the screaming and fighting of my children.
