We have stayed a few times over the years with the family. Absolutely love the house and the outside space, perfect for relaxing and catching a glimpse of the red squirrels.
Very dog friendly also and the games room was an added bonus for the kids.
Snuggling up on the sofa Infront of the log burner was definitely something we will miss.
Highly recommend this beautiful house.

Lovely place to stay, we stayed for just 3 nights but would’ve loved to stay longer, big garden plenty to do for children of all ages! Secure garden for dogs, plenty of facilities including dish washer, washer, dryer, hair dryer, bathroom & shower room cabin/ summer house at the bottom of the garden which has a pool table in and sofa and tv… 10/10 would stay again

This spacious two-bedroom, two-storey property with a large secure garden (great for those travelling with two dogs like us) was perfect for our holiday in Ryde. The property is warm and welcoming and has been tastefully decorated by the owner. We really appreciated being able to relax in the lounge and conservatory at the end of the day and being able to have dinner on the deck overlooking the garden was an added bonus. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of freezer/fridge space and another dining table (in addition to the one in the lounge as well as the large garden table with parasol). There are two good-sized bedrooms and the main bedroom which we used had plenty of wardrobe space. Communication with Jane (the owner/host) was really good prior to arrival and Jane also went out of her way to help us with our stay when needed which was very much appreciated. Gwydyr House is just a short drive from the ferry terminal in Fishbourne when you arrive and Ryde is well located with a short drive to access the lovely beaches on the East coast of the Isle of Wight (Seaview, Bembridge and Yaverland) as well as Newport and Cowes during your stay. I would definitely recommend Gwydyr House, especially to those travelling with their dog(s).

Stunning house. Only very slight niggle would be some things are looking a little tired mainly the outside area the decking and fencing could do with a lick of paint. Every set of solar lights not working either. Very minor things and we would certainly come back.

Fantastic holiday home for a base to explore the island on foot or by car. The host has thought of a family's every need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The only downside - our holiday came to an end.
