I've been to Rye quite a few times but never been in this castle. Such a stunning building. Not too expensive to enter, even well behaved dogs are allowed. Beautiful views from there too. A great place to visit for everyone.

Part of our very enjoyable day exploring the many features of Rye. The Museumshowcases the rich history of this ancient Rye and features exhibits on the history of Rye, including its role in defense and trade. The tower is great and actually dates back to the 14th century with great views over the surrounding fields and building.

The castle atmosphere felt really historic it felt a different way to me so I really recommend it you can also dress up as different people in castles that were in the castle long time ago in 17 century

This is a very interesting museum it is packed with exhibits and only costs £5 to visit. There are 3 levels to explore and the views from the tower are amazing. There is also a lovely herb garden where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

We visited the Rye Castle Museum, also known as Ypres Tower, but did not go inside as it was closed. However, we enjoyed the excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from the railway station and Tivoli Gardens, and a 10-15 minute walk from the city center.

Very nice little castle. Lots to see. I liked the map showing the old coastlines. Make sure you have a go on the bow in the basement. Nice views up top. The man trap and the women's jail were sobering.

A small historic museum but packed full of history and well themed across different spaces. Much to see and learn. Highly recommend.
