This little hotel is delightful! We stayed in the suite at the top of the house, spacious and light, with all the comforts we could require. And we got fit climbing the 40 steps to it; and improved our memory functions - don’t forget something up there. Breakfast was a tour de force. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We’d love to go back one day!

A superb, understated, welcoming and charming venue. Our room (Lowry) was beautifully decorated and appointed with an excellent en-suite. The breakfasts were excellent. The staff are attentive and very helpful. The whole feel of Jeake’s House is like staying in the house of good friends. The honesty bar is a great place to have a pre-prandial before leaving to savour the culinary delights of Rye, but also a snug venue for a nightcap. |Located in the heart of old Rye we cannot recommend this place too highly .

Staff are brilliant nothing is too much trouble. Very attentive owner came around the breakfast room every morning asking every table how we were. Very comfy bed and lovely view. Very good when we arrived again one of the owners explained everything and didn't rush us although we were late arriving. Beautifully cooked breakfast. Spotlessly clean.

What a great B&B, located right in the heart of historic Rye, and with such a historical background from a previous owner Conrad Aiken. Sure the stairs are steep as one would expect from an old house but the breakfast sustained us for the whole day and a big bonus is a large dedicated carpark about 5 minutes walk. The Mermaid Inn almost opposite was rebuilt in 1420 (!!!) serves a very good set dinner menu too. Would recommend to anyone going to Rye to stay at Jeakes House.

From the moment you enter Jeakes House, you feel you are the only one staying there. All the delightful rooms are individually designed and tastefully furnished. The hotel is located in the most beautiful street with numerous shops; cafes; restaurants and pubs within walking distance. |Rue is the most beautiful place and Jeakes House is a quintessential part of the town.|The breakfast is one of most delicious English breakfasts I have ever had!!!!|Thoroughly recommend this place - it really is very special.

Lovely accomodating hotel, from organising luggage drop off, parking, warm welcome, excellent breakfast and we loved the cosy lounge with an honesty bar, books and games. The room was cosy and cimfortable. Nice birthday treat from my lovely husband.

Another lovely stay at Jeakes House, Rye. This time for my wife’s 60th birthday. Lovely old-fashioned service, wonderful room, stunning breakfast and treated as adults with a communal honesty bar. Brilliant Mermaid St location and at a very competitive price. 2 nights B and B. Back again in November for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. Why go anywhere else? John and Alison Murray.

Lovely bed and breakfast in a beautiful building. Our triple room with ensuite was well-furnished and clean with exposed beams and lots of character. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and staff was very friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer! Minor improvements could be better wi-fi and more suggestions for activities in the area.
