Quiet spot generally. The woodland part is still maturing. The marshes and riverside have a bit more variety. Egrets are regulars on the river. Big skies. No facilities. Popular with dog walkers.

Lovely flat walk perfect for dogs to run around. I managed 2.5 miles along the embankments before turning around to come back to the car park. Lovely views, very peaceful.

A great discovery. Interesting to think that it used to be a landfill site. I think if you followed the entire walking trail it would maybe take up 1-2 hours. For just a casual visit and a change of scenery easily a short afternoon, which is perfect imo. Very well looked after and clean area. Another review mentioned dog mess and maybe this was a problem in the past, but we didn’t encounter any.

Nice little walk around the woodland, you can make a longer walk by the river. The daffodils were out and were very pretty.
Shame on the dog walkers that don't pick up after their dogs though ?
Not much nature seen either.

Comprises of a small woods and a walk alongside the Welland in the direction of either Fosdyke Bridge and the Ship Inn or towards the sea. In the late Spring and Autumn it is especially pretty. Great place to walk dogs

Nice place for a quiet walk. The lake is lovely and there is a small forest. Then you can take a long walk out to the Wash. Saw several different birds Inc birds of prey hunting over the open fields. There is a good size car park and dogs are ok on the lead.

Lovely place, but loads of bagged up dog poo! Obviously people walking their dogs, decide to leave it at the nature reserve, rather than taking it in their cars home. Maybe bins should be provided. Really spoils this place.
