We have stayed here a few times now, always in winter off peak (much cheaper then!). The cottages are of a very high standard, wonderfully equipped and comfortable. It's well worth a chilly walk up to the Duchy Nursery (about 25 mins) for a delicious breakfast or lunch. You can see the impressive Restormel Castle from the grounds, sadly closed in winter. Coming back to a roaring log fire, or to a swim in the heated indoor pool makes for a very pleasant day indeed. Lostwithiel is a half hour walk or 5 min drive away, and has a small supermarket, deli, posh restaurant, cafes and a few takeaways. I'd recommend the Q Street cafe and Moonlight Tandoori.

Stayed at the Confers Perranporth with friends Brian and Brenda Dixon House is very homely with excellent facilities .Perfect location for the beach and local places of interest.Will be back next year
