Today we had the privilege of being taken on a personal, comprehensive tour of Cornwall by Elite Duchy Tours (Pete was our guide). The vehicle the four of us shared was an incredibly comfortable Land Rover which made even the bumpy paths a smooth ride. He managed to cater to a retired machinist with a penchant for mining and vintage cars, a Shakespearean actor and artist, a history buff, and a Poldark fan. He found something to check every person’s boxes, and even improvised when one of us said they wanted to pick up some Cornish pasties. Pete was also very knowledgable, an incredibly capable driver, and a kind/friendly guide. It truly was an experience that lived up to the name “Elite.” He catered a spontaneous tour after picking us up, but clearly could cater to any client’s requests and requirements (and accommodated my mobility issues).

Highly reccommend- for discerning clientele or bumbling tourists like ourselves, truly a magnificent highlight of our visit.

I can’t begin to say how amazing our day with Peter/Elite Duchy Tours in Cornwall was!!! It was one of the top highlights of our 2 week vacation. Working with Peter was so easy and he really listened to what I was interested in. Hiring a private tour guide was a splurge for me but worth every penny! I asked a lot of him and he delivered above and beyond. The day started by picking us up at the airport and swinging by our hotel to let us get checked in and bags dropped off. Then off on our adventure we went! We went from Newquay down the coast to Porthcurno Beach with a few stops along the way. Even went out of his way to show us places I didn’t ask for but knew we would enjoy. I fell in love with Cornwall after watching Poldark so he made sure to take us places I would recognize and delight in. He stopped so we could pick up authentic pasties which we then enjoyed at the beach looking out over the water. From there it was onto Kynance Cove which was spectacular!!! It was an amazing day that I’ll never forget!! His knowledge of the area was terrific. My bf really enjoyed their banter on the trip. I honestly can’t say enough about Peter and Elite Duchy Tours!! There is no way I would have been able to experience all we did without him. I hope that I get back to Cornwall for another visit and I will be sure he’s the first person I reach out to to help arrange the trip!!! He thought of every detail. We sadly somehow missed getting a pic with him. I guess we’ll just have to go back!!!

I can not recommend pete/elite duchy tours enough. He picked us up at 10.30am and dropped is back around 6.30pm. The day just flew by.
The main purpose of the day was to visit Tintagel and King Arthur's Great Halls. It was very windy and drizzle here and there. Pete is a great guy. He listens to you and knows exactly in his mind what will or will not be of interest.
I mentioned Doc Martin and off to Port Isaac we went to have lunch . It was a fabulous change to Tintagel in the morning and just the break we needed.
Then we were off to find Excalibur and finally finished on Bodmin Moor. We had already done Jamaica Inn.
He was brilliant company which is why we invited him to lunch in Port Isaac with us. He has such a deep knowledge of the county. Highly recommend.
