If you're looking for a fantastic place to take your dogs for a walk, or to get active and play some sports, Westpark Long Eaton is definitely worth a visit! This park has something for everyone, with a football pitch and a rugby pitch for team sports, a skateboard park for those who like to skate, and a children's playground for the little ones.

But even if you're just looking for a leisurely walk with your furry friends, this park is still a great choice. The park is beautifully kept and has plenty of picnic benches, making it the perfect spot for time out with family or friends. And if you need a break, there's a lovely cafe on site, as well as clean public restrooms.

Overall, we highly recommend Westpark Long Eaton - it's a true gem, and we're always happy to spend time there!

West Park including fox covert is a nice well kept park in long eaton ,the groundsmen do a good job ,and there are toilets in the park at the cafe .
The little footbridge at the cafe is currently shut awaiting repair ,which seems to be taking a while .
Update : foot bridge open again ..
Park seems to be a little less well cared for these days ,bushes overgrown ,bindweed in lots of places and generally not as well kept as it used to be ....perhaps council cut backs? Or not enough staff ,who knows but it's a shame it's becoming a little unkempt. Still nice for dog walk though

This " Nature reserve" runs along side west park and I used to walk through with the dog regularly years ago. I think I once saw a fox in here and also on one occasion a pigeon. more than anything it's just a breeding place for rats and for people to walk their pitbulls off the lead.

Lots of broken decking. Very overgrown with nettles,so not disabled friendly. No wheelchair access. No map to show routes. Only usable for fully abled folk.

Maintenance required - lots of broken wooden decking paths.
Nice for kids - but also dodgy at the same time.
You can meet some suspicious fellas over there doing .... hmmmm WHO KNOWS 🙂

Nice and clean, well I thought so to start with but then the football team finished and left a lot of empty plastic bottles in the middle of the football pitch, very disappointing.

Nice walk, unfortunately some paths are not praticable due to lack of manteinance.
