Very good Santa Cruz trek, prices are higher than the competition but the service is very good and the guide/donkey driver were awesome ! Landscapes are awesome, just look at the pictures ?

December 2023: Sacred Valley-Machu Picchu and Rio Amazonas

Miles, thank you for arranging a wonderful trip!
The transportation, hotels, bus and train went off without a hitch. I want to specifically mention our guide and drivers in the Sacred Valley, they were fantastic. I loved Ollantaytambo. Of course, Machu Picchu is unforgettable.

The Amazon was a special experience. By being part of the daily surveys of species and working with the students I had a better understanding of the environment and what the Foundation is trying to achieve. The information we received about the work being done in cooperation with local indigenous people to secure their way of life was good to hear. I was amazed at the Amazon sky at night and had a hard time focusing on the surveying we were there to do. The stars and luminescence of the water lettuce was enchanting.

PeruNorth put together a fabulous trip to Machu Picchu and Cusco for us. The guides, transportation, hotels, and restaurants were all excellent and the timing of the entire trip went off like clockwork. Would highly recommend!

We had a perfect trip with Peru North. Everything was very well planned and we never had to wait for our transport, hotelrooms etc. Our birdguide Henry Gonzalez was very competent and knowledgeable. This meant that we returned with a birdlist of 407 species including all our target species. He was also very friendly as were our two drivers. I can only recommend that you book your trip to Peru with PeruNorth.

I just spent 3 days at Chaparri Ecolodge near Chiclayo. It was fantastic! My guide, Ismael, was extremely competent and knowledgeable, especially in birds (45 species, most of which were life birds). In addition, we identified a lot of animals, reptiles, fish and insects. The lodge is in a reserve which engages in education, conservation, rehabilitation, etc.
The food prepared by Elita was delicious; each meal better than the one before. The accommodations are spartan but comfortable and I slept a lot better than in my hotel in Lima.
Altogether an unforgettable experience!
