DO NOT USE VENTURE ASHORE We went on a cruise in July 2024 and we missed our excursion booked with this Venture Ashore because they did not collect us from the port of Piraeus. They did not email us to say they had changed the time. Extremely poor service and they refuse to accept responsibility. We paid £142.00 but they refuse to refund. No email communication for changing excursion time. No one to collect us at the time of excursion. We were left in a parking area for two hours. Extremely disappointed.
DO NOT USE THEM.

Good customer service. No issues at all! We had an excursion in Casablanca-was lovely. Small group with a nice guide and a driver. They were a bit late to start the tour but other than that-no probs.

We took two tours on our Med Cruise. Acropolis Visit and Panoramic Athens & Olympia Treasures and History Tour. Both tours were fantastic. Basically, private tours for much less than what the cruise ship charge. My only tip, is to remember these are somewhat introductory tours. There just isn't enough time to do and see everything available so if there is something you want to see or know more about, ask your tour guide. All of them were professional and very knowledgeable.

My husband and I went on a Mediterranean cruise the end of July, and we booked a tour through Venture Ashore for their Amalfi Coast/Pompeii tour. About 10 minutes into our long drive from Naples to the Sorrento the AC went out in the van. It was over 100 degrees and the driver was not a smooth driver. My husband and I ended up getting heat exhaustion and spend our whole two hours sitting in the shade drinking water and praying the AC was fixed before we had to get back in the van (I was crying on the streets of Sorrento - I was so sick). The tour guide and driver seemed to be arguing throughout the whole tour, so our tour guide was providing intermittent guiding. The driver did get the ac moderately working after Sorrento, so we did make it to Pompeii and had a wonderful tour with a different guide in Pompeii. My husband and I were so thankful to finally make it back to the cruise ship. I was so sad our tour day went this way as I was beyond excited for Sorrento. We understand things happen, but it put a huge damper on our excursion that we paid a lot of money for.

Don’t book with this company!!!! I received one of their tours as a gift, and they stood us up!!! We searched everywhere for them, and had no luck. Venture Ashore was not at the meeting place. We’ve been trying to get our money back ever since!!! They won’t call us back when requested, and have stopped replying to our messages. They’ve screwed us out of a wonderful day trip, and now they’re screwing us out of almost $400! Had we known then what we know now, we would never have booked with this company. Please read the reviews on trustpilot as well.

We've just taken 2 tours on our Greek island Cruise. We had small groups 6 & 4 excellent, knowledgeable gudes. Will definately use again.
The office also kept us upto date on a change of trip day when the cruise ship had to make a change of days to our visit.
Reasonably priced, can't fault ?

We booked a tour in Malta; the Private Guided Tailor Made Tour of Malta - 4 Hours through Venture Ashore. I had my reservations because I saw so many negative reviews, but this was the best way to see the 3 things in Malta that our group cared to see in the time frame that we had for our port. So I booked it, but I did pay to guarantee the tour (which gives you an extra week to cancel the excursion). It was on the last-minute end of booking (within 2 weeks of our cruise). Communication from Venture Ashore was a little slow, but they relayed to us whatever was needed for the tour in a timely manner.
When it was time for our tour to start, we were waiting at the cruise terminal exit as instructed and we couldn't find our guide! I tried calling all the numbers listed for Venture Ashore and they all came back "not a valid number"! (This is the only reason for the loss of a star.) Man, I really started sweating, but I finally resorted to sending them an email, sure that I wouldn't hear back in time...but they responded within 5 minutes and got us in touch with our guide, who was simply waiting without a "Venture Ashore" sign as we had been instructed that he would be.
Once we were with the guide, the tour was phenomenal. We had a fantastic time with Mario! He was so informative and helpful and he managed our time extremely well! He took great care of my parents (in their 70's), my daughter (7), and myself - keeping us informed of the plan and our timing throughout the day. He was so knowledgeable and personable that by the end, he invited us to dinner the next time we returned to Malta! I'd absolutely visit again and do another tour with Mario. It was a great day and we truly enjoyed our time at Mdina, the Blue Grotto, and Marsaxlokk.

Pick up instructions were spot on - but you have to follow it step by step to get out to the public street and find your driver. They were terrific once we got past all the other vendors. Our Driver was great! Loved the Sloths and Monkeys, it's a small place, but suited our need to be with the animals. The beach stop was confusing, and we ended up paying a resort fee to be taken to a beach with chairs and service.
