For travellers who wish to explore the unique ancient sites in Pakistan & also experience Pakistani culture & lifestyle, Xperience Pakistan offers insightful bespoke tours suited to special requests & timetables. Saadia Baber arranged my tour with an experienced, knowledgeable guide, very good interesting hotels, visits to sites that most tourists would not have access to & invaluable background information on what to expect.

Pakistan was never high on our bucket list as a place to visit, yet one conversation with Saadia and the team convinced us that we had found the right business in Xperiencepakistan to put together a trip that we would never forget.

Saadia worked closely with us to establish the types of things we like to do, from history, culture, meeting people, experiencing the food, and the sort of geographical sites/views we enjoyed. A really imaginative itinerary developed from that and we used the capacity of Youtube to help develop the trip. What was great that as we were putting together a bespoke itinerary we could change things to what we wanted and not be bound by a rigid programme.

When we finally arrived in country we had an amazing full-on trip, travelling from Islamabad 1200 miles south to Karachi. In the whole time there we only saw one other ‘western’ couple. The people were extremely friendly and inquisitive as they don’t see many tourists, and despite the security perceptions we never saw or felt ‘at risk’ (and we selected to travel to areas our Foreign Office advises against such as Peshawar - which was one of our favourite destination on the trip and the place to buy your Iranian or Afghani rug).

Pakistan might be one of the poorest countries we have visited but the people all looked fit and healthy, food was in abundance on every market stall and the rice (a major crop) was perhaps the best of quality we have experienced. Along the way we sampled many excellent local foods.

Most of the sites we visited had UNESCO status, and you could see why. There were many amazing heritage sites, mosques, and forts some on a scale that is hard to fully appreciate. All in all, a trip not to be forgotten.

Recommended - absolutely and do not be put off by our media. What we saw and experienced never reflected the image they paint. Now we have to do the north and the mountains!

My Experience With Xperience Pakistan

Firstly, I can’t thank Saadia and her team enough for the amazing experience of Pakistan that they showed me. They helped me at various stages of my trip, everything from: the itinerary, the visa application and ensuring all my needs were looked after whilst in Pakistan. Including checking up that the trip was going as I desired it. So a very very special thank you to the team at Xperience Pakistan for giving me an experience of a lifetime.

Visiting Holy places in Pakistan

It was like a dream, walking the places that Guru Nankana walked, played and lived. One of the major reasons I was so glad to have gone with Xperience Pakistan, was I wasn’t rushed and I could set the pace that I wanted too. And they were very open to letting me change my mind, even while the trip was taking place. The Gurdwara and the samadi of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh in Lahore, broke my heart. I know how money is spent in the UK on Gurdwara’s and it’s a crying shame, that we (Sikhs) don’t spend a little bit of that on our history in Pakistan. Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur and Panja Sahib were the highlights of my trip. Seeing the Pakistani side of Punjab just puts a smile on my face, when I think about it. It is so similar that it’s unbelievable.

Pakistani People

As a British Indian Sikh, I didn’t know how I would be welcomed in Pakistan. Before going Xperience Pakistan did try and ressaure me that all would be okay but I was still apprehensive. The Pakistani people I had the pleasure of meeting in Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur, Islamabad and Peshawar – couldn’t be nicer to me. On two different occasions, my heart really went out, the beauty in the hearts of Pakistani people because they went above and beyond what I would expect from your average interaction with people. The weird thing was how happy they were to see a Sardar, not a tourist from the UK. Fellow Sikhs from India received an equally happy experience from the people in Pakistan.

Hotels

The Hotels I stayed in were brilliant, the quality equal to any decent 4/5 stars hotels in the UK or Europe. Xperience Pakistan pride themselves on quality over quantity and in my experience that was definitely evident.

Haris (My Guide)

Haris was my guide during the trip, I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. He not only showed me things I wanted to see like the Gurdwara’s but also modified the trip so I could see things that I desired to see, mainly the historical aspects of Pakistan. I even got to meet his friends and got to experience the real Pakistan. Thinking of them, as I write this, is putting a big smile on my face. Haris in Urdu has a meaning of a Guardian, a protector. If any name suits someone that name suits Haris. I really enjoyed his company, and our serious discussions of Pakistan to lighted hearted conversations on movies and songs we like. I even watched Legends of the Fall, as I was flying back to the UK, because of his recommendation – btw, loved the movie.

Culture and History

I would encourage everyone who visits Pakistan to experience its cultural and history, after all, big chunks of it, is shared history and culture. One of the mind blowing visits was Buddhist temples. The Tomb of Jahangir is an amazing complex of buildings. I would high recommend anyone visiting Lahore pay a visit. I simply fell in love with Lahore and Peshawar, both very old cities with tons and tons of history.

The best thing about going with Xperence Pakistan is the small sizes they work with, in my case I was alone but as a business they want to ensure that everyone gets to see what they are interested in, which is why they won’t go beyond a group size of 12-15, so that all their clients can leave Pakistan knowing they’ve got what they wanted out of the holiday. With Xperience Pakistan, you never feel like a number or a transaction their regular communication makes you feel safe and a valued guest and part of their warm family.

I highly recommend Xperience Pakistan for your Pakistan Trip.
