Took my mum and dad on a fish and chip canal cruise with my partner tonight. They haven't stopped smiling since they got on board. We all loved every minute of it. Excellent quality food and the crew could not do enough for you ...they were brilliant. Drinks are so reasonably priced as well.
Even though it was dark, floodlights on the boat lit up both banks so the canal could be viewed differently.
Would give 6 stars out of 5.
100% recommend a trip.

The festive afternoon tea aboard The Dalesman was a nice leisurely start to the holiday season, exceeding all our expectations. A clean and comfortable boat with pleasant and polite crew who made sure everyone was looked after.
The two hour journey starts at the canal basin in the centre of the historic market town, then into open countryside, turning around at the village of Bradley.
Highly recommended if you want to spend a relaxing few hours with a generous portion of sandwiches, scones and small cakes along a nice stretch of the Leeds/Liverpool Canal.

Fantastic. Well-organised set-up. Good communication before the event. Punctual departure. Warm welcome aboard. Right number of people for size of boat with tables spaced so not squashed in. Under cover so ideal on rainy afternoon. The afternoon tea was just right too so not overloaded or wasteful. Ben & colleagues were so helpful and friendly. Scenery is awesome. Loved seeing the swans & cygnets so close and the stately heron on the bank was a bonus. Highly recommend the whole experience.

A lovely experience! Staff cheerful and attentive.
I had forgotten to ask for a vegetarian option, but the staff did their utmost to ensure I had a delightful tea.my friend whose birthday treat it was a wonderful happy memory making experience. Thank you so much and hope to be back again!

Lovely 2hr canal cruise with afternoon tea. Great service, wonderful views and lots of top up brews. There was a savoury option (you still get cream scones), which was nice if you don't fancy a load of cake.

Be warned if you're big, the tables are fixed and it can be a squeeze to fit. There are two slightly wider seats at the front. On the other hand, the loo is good and wide.

Afternoon tea was perfect. A lovely journey with delicious food. I had the standard afternoon tea my husband had the savoury one, which includes sausage roll and a pork pie. He was very pleased. Highly recommend

Excellent service. The staff were very friendly and helpful also the fish and chips were excellent followed by a lovely pot of tea also a very welcoming choc ice . There was also a bar on board . Myself and my daughter really enjoyed the 2 hour trip ☺️

It was a very enjoyable cruise and the audio was very enlightening. Everything worked as intended, the staff were very helpful and kind and it all worked like a charm. The only thing I would criticise it that an open top boat would be a bit nicer in terms of taking pictures and the benches are very close together to sit in any comfort as a larger person.
