Brilliant trip out. We've been wanting to come here on previous trips up here but with the dog it's been hard so it is wonderful that it is now a dog friendly attraction! It was more spacious than I thought inside and our guide today was fantastic - he was knowledgeable and we found it interesting. There is just so much to see it was fascinating. There are walks in the woods too and a shop/cafe at the entrance/exit if the cavern. Great trip out and highly recommend. Do book in advance if you have a dog as they limit it to 6 dogs per tour so worth booking if you are planning to take your 4 legged friends with you

Great place to visit We had a guided tour around the cavern which was very informative. If you go don't forget to wear a coat because it gets very cold and the ceiling drips on you. When we came out we went into the cafe to get a hot drink to warm us up.

Quite an amazing place. We really enjoyed our visit there. General adult self guided tour was for £11.A booklet was provided so it was easy to explore. There was people in the cave to help and answer our questions if we have any. Place is quite popular so advance booking is recommended. I still can't believe its 2 million years old. Worth a visit. ?

We visited Poole's Cavern during our holiday in the Peak District. We found the guided tour very interesting and we even got to see a single bat sleeping inside the cavern. Our tour guide pointed him out to us. Our tour guide was a lovely lady who was very knowledgeable. Poole's Cavern is the first cavern that I've been in during my lifetime that was natural and not man made.... Poole's Cavern hasn't been mined like all the other caverns in the Peak District. After our tour of the cavern we enjoyed a hot drink and a lovely piece of cake in the on-site cafe. Before heading back to our holiday cottage we went for a nice short walk in the adjoining woods. A nice day, shame about the cold, damp weather. I would highly recommend visiting this cavern, family and dog friendly ?

What an interesting place to visit, a must see if you're visiting Buxton. We had a fantastic guide who was extremely informative. We visited as two families and one well-behaved dog. Despite it being a warm day it is only 7°C in the caves (luckily we read this online prior to our visit and had some warmer layers).

Amazing place and inclusive/acommodating for disability. We wanted to take our children to a cave but most in the area were long guided tours and not very aware of supporting the needs of neurodivergent people. The self-guided tour at Poole's Cavern was perfect for us! So many amazing features to see, but it does not feel claustrophobic and the stairs and handrails make it easier to walk through. It exceeded our expectations and the staff were very friendly. I noticed that they offer SEN sessions and the cave is partly accessible to people using wheelchairs too. It's a good place to take younger children if they will not cope with difficult conditions of other caves or walking/climbing long distances. Highly recommend!

Very interesting, tour guide was funny and friendly, knew his stuff. Pictures don't do its beauty justice. Really cool attraction and we travelled an hour to come to buxton and this was our favourite thing. worth the price. Gift shop was really good and quite fairly priced. Theres a cafe too and picnic area outside. Walking trails right outside up to picnic areas and solomans temple etc.
