First class customer service. Mary responded to additional date request and ensured we got everything thing that was on offer. She went out of her way to ensure our booking was correct. We will definitely be using Country hotel Breaks again, and won't hesitate to recommend them.

Zero compassion and corporate, money-grabbing responses. I suffered a serious health issue over 5 months recently and realised I was a mere 4 days past the expiry date of my voucher. I contacted them to explain the situation and absolutely no interest in being understanding or showing a human side to their customer service - complete 'computer says no' responses. An ugly way to do business in my view. I will never, ever use this company or their related brands again.

Spoke to an extremely professional lady ( Mary) who took me through the booking process giving all the options available for the dates. The package chosen included dinner on the first evening. I passed comment that my wedding anniversary was on the second day and Mary offered to contact the hotel to ask if the dinner could be moved to the second evening. Just received an email from Mary to say that the hotel has agreed to the dinner being on second evening. Now that is what I call customer service.

The website works well and the booking is easy. However, I have two points:
1. For the hotel I booked, I found the options quite restrictive. I am going away with someone I am not in a "romantic" relationship with and the options were: (a) romantic with rose petals etc including a meal or (b) non-romantic but no meal included. I would have liked to book a more inclusive option i.e. including a meal but I did not want champagne/rose petals etc. It would be good if that option could be included and twin beds rather than double etc. I have requested a twin room when booking but this does not seem to be a guarantee.
2. Linked to the above, the voucher is restrictive in that it cannot be applied against further purchases in the hotel. On this occasion, I would have liked to put my £40 balance towards a meal. However, this is not possible. Now I am forced to either (a) lose £40 or (b) put it towards a night in a hotel somewhere/ sometime and pay the extra cost. It should be possible to apply the voucher towards additional purchases in the hotel.

What can I say, I had the best time. Honestly I can not recommend this site enough to every one I know. If you need a break, then this is the place to come, every venue I have stayed at so far I have had the best time and I thank you to the team at Country breaks for the last trip, it was incredible!
I will be using you lots more.

A well organised short weekend away by Country Hotel Breaks keeping us up to date at every stage. Once we got to the hotel, we were welcomed and had a great comfortable time during our stay. We will be back as there is some great walking with loads to see without the need to jump in the car.

Voucher purchased for us by my son after which I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the recovery was and is dreadful but I’m still here! The voucher expired 1/1/24 by which time I wasn’t fit to go away so when I explained my situation in January and requested an extension I was given a big fat no and told the voucher is worthless! They can now pocket the £150 without paying anything to a third party. Unsympathetic, unhelpful and a company to avoid. I hope none of them have to endure what I have had to during the past 12 months
