I visited the Gateshead store today & had a fab experience. Colin looked after me with all of my travel money needs. Opening a travel card which was super easy and talking me through the app & benefits, while getting me a great exchange rate on my card and then some extra dollars in cash.

Terrible service. Phoned just after 9 in morning asking for a certain holiday. Gave all details etc. Sophie I will get back to you. Me that's great thank you....
I phoned back at 3 o clock to be told she had been busy and then just came off her dinner break...I totally understand that.
To be told I only have to phone a company I will get straight back to you....
It's now 5 o clock I phone back to be told she was on a call and would ring me.
Guess what? No call back...If she didn't or couldn't do it why not say instead of leaving someone waiting all day for phone calls that were never going to happen.
I find this VERY unprofessional and she needs a course on customer service.
At end of day it's people that keep her in a job.
And people have more to do than wait for someone phoning them. I found it to be totally uncalled for and ignorant.
Hope all your staff don't go on like this Hays..As this has made me to never even attempt to book through you's ever again

Colin was so helpful when I took a family in to book their first ever holiday abroad. He spent almost an hour and 45 minutes helping to explain things the family would need to know. The family are thrilled with the advice and have booked with Colin. Exceptional service.

We have just come back from our holiday in Benidorm, we booked at Hays travel Gateshead, all went great from booking,getting our tickets and currency,and the advice given to us at the store was invaluable, the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, I would also recommend the Agua Azul Hotel in Benidorm it was absolutely amazing.
