Rob put together the most incredible itinerary for our honeymoon. When we first decided that we wanted to honeymoon in South Africa, we found ourselves overwhelmed with decisions. We reached out to Tailormade Africa and let them know that we both had never been to Africa and that we needed some serious guidance! We had a video call with Rob who took the time to get to know us - listening to our interests, expectations and wishes. From there, he presented us with an itinerary perfectly suited to our personalities and travel interests.
We spent time in Cape Town, Franschhoek and Hermanus – loving the diverse wildlife, wine and culinary scene each place offered. The highlight our of trip though would have to be our stays at Rhino Ridge Lodge and Thonga Beach Lodge. At both lodges the staff were friendly and provided a high level of service, the guides were knowledgeable, and the food exceeded our expectations. The lodges were intimate and offered us the perfect time to disconnect. There is nothing quite like the experience of being surrounded by giraffes, elephants, rhinos and many more living in their natural habitats!

We ended up renting a car to self drive from destination to destination. Though we had our reservations at first about driving, we ended up loving it. It gave us the freedom to set our own timetable and at no point did we ever feel unsafe. We were both grateful not to be in a stuffy tour bus with a bunch of other people.

Rob was always available on WhatsApp through our trip to check in and make sure everything was always to our liking. Though we didn’t run into any issues, it was comforting to know there was always support on hand. He even took the time to chat with us once we got back home to hear about our trip and any concerns, if we had any.

We chose Tailormade Africa in hopes that they would offer us a personalized experience that the big tour groups lack, and they did not disappoint. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again! Thank you again, Rob, and Tailormade Africa for the honeymoon of a lifetime.

After getting a few quotes and itineraries for our Safari & beach honeymoon from elsewhere, we stumbled across Rob and the team at Tailormade Africa. From the moment Rob started talking, we knew he was an absolute expert in his field. He was very open and honest about the value proposition offered by some of the other itineraries presented by other suppliers, but also had extremely valuable additional context on various locations that other operators hadn't mentioned. For example, Rob informed us that one of the camps we were considering had just recently started a huge road construction project nearby, which had displaced a lot of the wildlife from the wider area. This wasn't mentioned by other suppliers, and wasn't readily discoverable from reviews or information online. Lo and behold, on our way back to the airstrip at the end of our fantastic trip, we drive down a very wide road, under construction, with no animals in sight... and then the camp we had considered with another supplier! That would have been a very disappointing mistake, and one that required an up-to-date expert on the area like Rob to identify. His knowledge of the various camps and areas is clearly extensive, as we mentioned each camp suggested in other itineraries by name he was able to immediately place them and comment on the various amenities - only possible when you're truly familiar with the various camps and locations. He very carefully listened to what was important to us, and provided us with a number of options to help us identify what was most important to us, and what budget was needed to give us the best value for money and what we were looking for. And the trip we ended up with was perfectly tailormade for us - the exact experience we hoped for, excellently delivered. Throughout the whole planning, booking, traveling and returning process Rob was extremely communicative, providing support in advance of arriving with the camp and resort, and then assisting with the remaining admin on our return. An absolutely incredible service all round! We've already encouraged a friend to book with Rob, and will hopefully be doing so again ourselves very soon!

It had always been a dream of ours to visit Madagascar and Tailormade Africa really made our dreams come true and more!

Although we knew we wanted to visit Madagascar and all it had to offer, we had an obstacle in our way......we wanted to see as much as possible but were limited to the amount of time we could take away from work.

As mentioned, we had always wanted to visit, but we were unsure of where to start and what to do - with so many beautiful parts to the country and different landscapes we were overwhelmed........enter Tailormade Africa!

We contacted them way back in 2022 to book a holiday of a lifetime to Madagascar in 2024. Even though we were looking to book so far in advance, this didn't discourage Rob and the team from doing their utmost best to secure costs and dates for us. They made recommendations on how to get the most of Madagascar with our restricted time all whilst ensuring that we weren't spending more time travelling than we were enjoying our holiday!

After initial contact, we had a 121 conversation with Rob so that he could get to know us and understand our personal travel style and based on this, he was able to happily provide multiple itineraries and hotel choices as a starting point for us to peruse and give us an idea of what's possible, available and different budgets. We were then able to 'pick and choose' and 'mix and match', really ensuring that our holiday was 100% tailored to our needs and wants. No matter how many times we went back and tweaked the different itineraries it was never too much trouble for the team!

Throughout the 2 years between booking and actually travelling, the team kept in contact with any updates, and amendments we wanted to make were handled with straight away - including an extended break to Kenya prior to arrival in Madagascar - nothing was too much trouble!

Prior to travelling, we had another 121 call with Rob to go over our plans a final time and to answer any last minute questions - this is a really nice touch. Tailormade Africa also make themselves available to you for the duration of your holiday too - just in case of any mishaps or information you might need while you're away.

The personal touches that were made throughout our stay at each location were second to none (so much time had passed from booking to travelling that we actually ended up getting engaged and married in between so made Madagascar our honeymoon). At each location we stayed at, the staff had prepared something special for us as a honeymoon treat - and this was all down to Tailormade Africa's organisation and the great relationships that they have with their teams on the ground.

It really was the holiday of our dreams and we couldn't have asked for more - all thanks to to the Tailormade Africa team!

Their customer service didn't end there though......even when the trip was over and we were back to reality, we had a final 121 call with Rob which gave us to opportunity to tell him all about our adventure and provide feedback.

Absolutely 5 star service from everyone and we will definitely be using Tailormade Africa again for our next African adventure!

Great experience working with Rob from Tailormade Africa. Planning started with a call with Rob who spent time to understand what type of trip we were looking for and what interests we had as a family. Rob’s knowledge of African safari’s came across on the call and carefully explained the different destinations and he then came back to me with an itinerary with a few options. After chosing what we wanted we then eagerly anticipated the trip. Rob and his team were there for any last minute questions and were available through the trip via WhatsApp which was very reassuring.

The trip itself was amazing and the itinerary planned by Rob was great and everything ran super smoothly!. Definitely a holiday to remember and not sure how we top that now! Highly recommend Rob and Tailormade Africa to anyone else looking for a great safari adventure.

Clyde and team at Tailormade put together a perfect trip for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We went gorilla trekking in Uganda and had the best time at the Buhoma Lodge. We spent time with two gorilla families, had fantastic meals, and experienced the very best service from the staff at Buhoma. We were then off to the northern Serengeti where we stayed at a migration camp. I was a bit nervous about staying in a tent but I’m so glad we took Clyde’s advice because it was incredibly comfortable, and we lucked out with our own driver/guide for the full 3.5 days we were there. We ended our trip at the beach in Zanzibar at a beautiful resort. I can’t say enough about how grateful we are to Clyde and team for listening to our preferences and building us such a fantastic itinerary. It was the best trip, with every detail thought of. Five years ago we contacted Rob Morley and Tailormade Africa to discuss a safari trip. Rob arranged a convenient time to come for dinner and drinks to meet us, find out about who we were as people and what we were hoping to get out of the trip. Shortly after he provided us with an itinerary that was quickly finalised and had us ready to go the summer of 2020. Unfortunately, Covid got in the way and we had to cancel our trip. That wasn’t going to stop Rob from helping us experience the dream trip of a lifetime. Rob and his team stayed in close touch with us, keeping us up to date on changes and progression of trips starting again. Due to personal reasons we had to postpone until July 2024. That only spurred Rob on to ensure we had the holiday of a lifetime to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Multiple phone calls, emails, discussions (with the occasional drink thrown in) about wishes saw us looking at the perfect itinerary. The attention to detail, provision of information, handling of transfers (both by plane and car) ensured we only had to enjoy our trip and take in the scenery. Rob and Tailormade Africa covered every detail and eventuality taking all pressures off of us. We started with two nights in Giraffe Manor where we had a wonderful up close and personal experience with the giraffes. Our guide, Ally with Masai Wanderings, picked us up and we went to Tarangire National Park and stayed in the picturesque Camp Ndovu. The first night we watched a family of elephants walk past on their way home. The staff were super friendly and looked after us so well. It was then on to Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater. Even with the ‘free African massage’ provided by the roads, Ally was amazing ensuring we not only saw everything, but he taught us all about the country, people and culture. Polepole became our mantra during the trip in order to immerse ourselves in the moment. Our final stop was the Central Serengeti staying at Little Moru Camp. A temporary camp only open a few months a year that delivered the most. Outstanding staff who made you feel like you were family, friend and special guest all at once. Our final night there saw us presented with an anniversary cake, celebration with staff and other guests and our own special sunset celebration. All courtesy of Rob Morley and Tailormade Africa. We finished our trip with a week on Pemba Island staying at The Manta Resort. We cannot explain how restful, calm, beautiful, and amazing this resort is. The most pristine, soft sanded beach we have ever experienced. Staff who only wish to ensure you are relaxed and taken care of, from scuba diving to your next cocktail. Rob set up a WhatsApp group to allow us to be able to stay in touch at a moments notice should any problems occur during the trip. The only contact we had to make was to send him a photo every day of the wonders we experienced. We truly know how fortunate we are to have been able to go on a safari. However, we also know the advice, guidance, support, knowledge, and attention to who we were as people allowed Rob and Tailormade Africa to put together the best second honeymoon/trip of a lifetime. Rob, we cannot thank you and the team at Tailormade Africa for everything you all did to make this trip exceed our dreams.

This was our first safari and, although we are fairly seasoned travellers, we were a bit nervous at committing to what is a very expensive experience ( for us anyway). However, from the outset Clyde reassured us by spending the time to listen to what we wanted, giving advice and taking on board our own research.

He suggested 2 lodges in South Luangwa in Zambia and they were just perfect- great location, genuinely expert guides, friendly staff and comfortable accommodation.

I was a little nervous about what the other guests would be like, but they were lovely, very friendly.Cost was very much in line with the other 2 larger companies we had looked at booking with.

Clyde and the team made sure we had a personalised experience of a lifetime and we genuinely couldn’t fault them or the safari they organised, particularly the walking Safaris. We will definitely be booking another safari and will be using Clyde and the team.

After my parents had such a wonderful experience with their holiday booking using African Tailor Made and Philippa, I decided that it would be the best company to use for my safari plans.
Philippa made some brilliant suggestions and organised and booked everything for us.
It was so smooth and easy as she even sent our boarding passes for multiple flights.
We started with safari at Simbavati Waterside and all I can say is WOW! It was the most amazing experience, I wish I could go back again. Everything about it was simply perfect, I really highly recommend it for safari.
We then went onto Mozambique which was a beautiful country.
Quiet, peaceful and unspoilt.
