Brilliant cottage! So well supplied, it has everything we could possibly need. Great information packs supplied by Jo. Gorgeous decor. Don't underestimate how long the hot tub takes to heat up but it's worth it! The area is lovely, so much to do and the pub is a short walk which is a bonus.

We had a lovely week at Foss Garth Cottage. The location was lovely with a beautiful view and it was nice the hear the sound of the river and waterfall outside. It was so peaceful and tranquil, I could live there.

Inside the cottage was so comfortable and well equipped. Its was nice to receive a package of freebies when we arrived. The beds were so comfortable with lovely clean, fresh soft bedding. Everything that we needed, we had. I would love to stay there again sometime.

We found a gorgeous property on the site (Church Beck House) in a lovely village (Scalby) great as a base to relax or to visit local attractions. Lovely village with a great cafe and pubs too. There was a slight unforeseen issue with the property and I received a phone call from a very friendly and professional team member who dealt with everything to ensure we had a fantastic stay.

Gorgeous cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Anni was the nicest person and very friendly, always on hand to ask questions. She keeps the place so tidy and like a home away from home. Set in a relaxing and remote location it was so peaceful. Comfortable sofas and beds. Nicely decorated, very clean and cosy. Highly recommended for a relaxing and peaceful country cottage escape (with the dogs!). 10/10

We had trouble finding the property and asked in the vicinity but found it difficult to find someone who knew where it was. We eventually found the property and while we were parked at the recommended area someone took the paint off of our car wing. We had witnesses but the driver didn’t stop and give his details (unfortunately I didn’t have my phone with me as I left it in the cottage whilst I was carrying my luggage to the cottage). I am sure that a detailed plan of the area would have made things a lot easier.

Booked the Cove Hideaway in Skinningrove which is advertised as one of their lets on Trip Advisor. We left less than an hour after arriving (as general manager Sarah took her time to answer the phone) due to a horrific mouldy smell which has obviously been caused by substandard carpet cleaning. It also transpired that the TVs are internet-onlt which wasn't working. Offered another apartment which was exactly the same! Disgusting. We were ignored for 2 days afterwards and we were then accused of lying so they can try to get out of refunding us. They also kept my son's North Face coat which was accidently left behind when we were hastily dragging our suitcases back into the car. Diabolical.
I can see why the recent reviews for this company in the last year are so poor. They obviously take no pride in the lets advertised.

We booked with Ingrid Flute and stayed at Honeypot House in Sleights. I wouldn’t recommend this property. Our experience was very poor, I think it’s part of some neighbourhood dispute regarding locals vs. holiday makers and it makes for an unpleasant experience. We were confronted on our first night there by a rather angry neighbour on the doorstep because he thought we’d parked outside his house on nearby Lowdale Lane. We hadn’t. The instructions for the house tell you not to park there as it’s a private road. But the councils highways register official website tells you it’s an adopted road so really I just think that is disingenuous at best and that some people don’t like outcomers. I don’t want to spend my holiday dealing with someone else’s angry neighbours. We left after one night to find somewhere more friendly. The house itself is pretty tired looking… like it was decorated in a 1990s colour scheme which would have been popular back then… apart from the 2 main bathrooms which were really nice. Things in the kitchen cupboards like glasses and measuring cups weren’t clean and the garbage bins outside were beyond overflowing. In the early hours of the morning we were awakened by people congregating outside talking loudly and using the front garden… The fact that we left after one night with six left to go probably says it all. Do yourself a favour and give this one a miss
