Sometimes in life you just feel incredibly lucky to meet people and Tom is one of these!
A master of his craft and worth every penny!

So I always knew I wanted to do a hike for charity and in memory of a certain someone. So I set out to find a guide who would accompany me on this journey and memory. Then I discovered Tom Trekking Experiences. After messaging Tom back and forth and explaining what I wanted to achieve I immediately knew he was the right guide for me.

So fast-forward to my hike. This was my first ever hike in the Lake District. I was excited but also super nervous, emotional and unsure what to expect.
As soon I met Tom I felt an instant relief and calmness.
Throughout the hike Tom was extremely knowledgeable, patient and calm. Offering support, confidence and every motivation of digging deep! Tom instilled belief in myself that 'I've got this' and 'I can do this'.
You cannot put a price on that and the feeling at the end I was buzzing! And will be forever grateful!
So make sure you book!!Don't wait if you want to experience one of the best days ever!

Tom was able to help me out last minute for a trip I had arranged to the Lake District for my friends 50th. His comms from the start was easy, and prompt. He quickly arranged a private guide for us, Kate Sutton, who was already waiting for us at our start point and led us on the outstanding Skiddaw 7 Challenge. She was so engaging, flexible with what we wanted out of the day, great fun and just a delight to be with. She even bought birthday cake with her for my friend’s birthday! The route itself was stunning and a really rewarding challenge but not a killer, it was my friend’s first time in the Lakes and she was mesmerised. Thank you Tom and Kate you truly provided a special day for a special birthday! I hope to see you again soon.

Tom is a fantastic hiking guide. He took us to the summit of Helvellyn at sunset. It was an epic experience and a moment we will treasure. With Tom’s knowledge and experience he talked us through the surrounding areas and other routes we could take whilst in the lakes. We also had a good laugh which always helps boost moral when you’re climbing an unrelenting elevation. Thanks Tom. Until next time….

Tom was the perfect trekking guide and companion!
From the off Tom assisted with accommodation, travel and even guided us newbies on what to bring with us.
Tom was always calming, reassuring and supportive but also would tell you how it is. He even kept us all up-to date with weather reports and his own hikes before our trip.

On the hike up Ben Nevis he was his jolly self and even took some great pics!

Had a brilliant hike with Tom up Helvellyn via Striding Edge and Swirral Edge. The hike has been on my bucket list for a while but decided to book with a guide for a bit of extra confidence. Terrific Trekking Tom!

Had a great day on one of Tom’s adventures, taking on Hall’s Fell Ridge and Sharp Edge, Blencathra/Saddleback. Tom is a great Mountain Leader and very able and knowledgable guide; he has the ability to safely manage and motivate participants of different abilities, experience and confidence to achieve the days objectives. If you’re a regular hiker and fancy a challenge, then Eastern 11 is right on the money! I had a fantastic day in the Lakes and I’m really pleased I chose Tom as a guide and took the plunge for his Eastern 11 challenge. It’s always nice, even as an experienced hiker, to put the navigation into someone else’s capabilities and enjoy the time on the mountain instead of taking lead. The group was intimate and full of encouragement, which was great for morale, even after 8+ hours on the peaks with one another. Tom captured all the pinnacle moments of the day too which was a bonus!

To say I was an inexperienced mountain trekker is an understatement .Tom with his expertise professionalism and guidance got me and another 6 people to the top of Scarfell pike to watch the sunrise on the 1st of Dec 23 . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Trekking Tom Experiences to anyone for a day you will never forget. What a time to be alive …..?
