My wife and I travelled some distance to visit here today, and it was well worth it. A free entry museum in a very old building. What an amazing building it is, too, having been a part of a huge priory when first constructed. Loved the giant fireplace, the flagstone floors and the wood panelled room on the first floor. Knowledgeable staff and a little shop. We had to visit now because it is closing soon for two to three years, for much needed refurbishment. It will be interesting to see what it looks like after and what secrets they uncover.

The building is not wheelchair friendly.

Such a lot to see, so many different sorts of things, Old carvings from the Abbey, strange tools for basket weaving, a huge mill, a fairground horse, a door from the jail. A beautiful garden with many little treasures fitted around. Nice shop. Uneven floors, stairs to higher floor.

Well worth an hour or so looking around this museum. Winding stair cases, uneven floors and low ceilings everywhere make it a joy to explore. Exhibits from the age of the Plesiosaur though to the town in WWII.

Unfortunately, the building is currently being restored but that is made up by admission now being FREE.
The Almonry is a beautiful museum where you can discover Evesham's fascinating history and learn about different trades in the area (asparagus farming, thatching, etc.). I've been there plenty of times as a kid and love to visit when I return to my hometown. The gift shop has lovely Evesham souvenirs and the staff are very friendly. In fact, after mentioning that my grandad's thatching tools are on display, they let me nip to see them just before closing. Thank you so much! It meant the world to me!

This place is a brilliant example of a local museum. A wonderful experience within many small rooms of the original building. And free to boot!

I went yesterday and it was back to normal after the lockdown measures were in place. Obviously it still had hand sanitiser by the door and signs telling you to keep a 2 meter distance. The museum is very interesting to look at but the only thing was one of the buttons that you press in the victorian kitchen wasn't working but I did mention that to one of the members of staff yesterday. They are doing a Halloween event this year about the black plauge which I would like to go to as it sounds interesting especially considering I have come here for years.
