Mike was a brilliant guide, really enthusiastic and clearly knew his stuff. As a local to Emsworth myself I really enjoyed learning more about the history of this lovely town, and Mike really bought this to life. What an interesting and informative walk! I enjoyed finding out so many fascinating facts about the history of Emsworth’s industrial past, the fishing and oyster trades and the challenges faced by local people in the 16th and 17th centuries. Mike is a very good speaker and has done extensive research. I will definitely go on future walks and would recommend his tours. Next time I’ll take my camera to capture the impressive architecture we saw too.

Mike the host was extremely engaging and clearly had spent a lot of time learning his subject and delivered his 90 minute talk with real panache.
As a nearby resident, I was really surprised at what I didn't know about the commercial and industrial history of Emsworth over the ages.
The parts about the smugglers activities, press gangs and also the oyster trade were particularly interesting!
The tour was on a rather chilly Saturday morning in early February so needed to wrap up warmly.
Highly recommended.
