What an amazing experience! We had a tour of the Bodleian Libraries, and it was by far the highlight of our trip to Oxford. The rich history of the library was captivating, and the stunning architecture of the buildings was not to miss.

Natasha, our tour guide, was an absolute gem! She guided us through the majestic halls and took us behind the scenes, explaining the lavish history along the way, always with a warm smile. Her enthusiasm for the library was palpable, and her extensive knowledge made the tour even more fascinating.

One of the highlights was seeing the Duke Humfrey’s library. Such a beautiful and historic building with crests of the University of Oxford covering the ceiling, and Kings, Queens, and Bishops along the aisles. The Radcliffe Camera and The Divinity Schools were not to miss as well.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oxford.

It is essential that you buy your tickets as early in the day as possible, as the library only sells tickets for the tours on the day of the tour you wish to take, and they sell out of tickets very quickly. Getting tickets to some of the tours can be a real struggle, but once you do it's completely worth it. I took the 90 minute tour and had an great time. I found learning about the history and function of the Bodleian Libraries fascinating and exciting. Tour guide Dan had a great way of injecting humour and personality into every part and had expert knowledge about every element of the tour.

We did a 60 minute guided tour with Dan and it was tremendous, so much history and amazing things to see. Dan was great as a tour guide always keeping everyone's interest and definitely never mentioned anything Harry Potter, nothing at all.

Amazing architecture, crowded high street, good bus service and a great shop with old fashioned clothes and ran by passion. Great prices and experience overall. Bikes in the "road" behind the library

Dan’s engaging personality and sense of humor made the history of the library come alive in a way I never expected. I was fortunate enough to snag a last-minute ticket for a 30-minute tour, but it left me wanting more—I’ll definitely be planning ahead for the 90-minute tour next time.

The Bodleian itself is a captivating place, filled with stunning architecture and rich history. Dan’s passion for the library and its stories was infectious, making the tour not only informative but also incredibly fun. I can’t recommend this tour enough; if you get the chance to go with Dan, don’t hesitate! He truly is jolly good!

As a book-lover and Harry Potter fan I was very excited to visit this place and our guide made the visit even much more interesting - she was able to tell us some interesting information about recording of Forbidden Library scenes in Harry Potter movies. We booked 15-minutes visit, which was the only one available during the day of our visit. I highly recommend to book a visit in advance.
