Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Didcot - Didcot

Booked a car from Didcot for a recent trip back to the UK. Was given a 2018 plate car, and not comparable to a golf which is what was ordered. Car provided empty of fuel (despite offering to fill it, they didn’t bother). Warning light came on 2 days into 2 week hire period, unhelpful when calling and we had to deal with the AA ourselves. General condition of car engine was not good. When we returned it to the centre, was told that we would have a full refund, nothing has come through and when called to enquire was told they would call us back… but to date no call has been returned and no money back. The location is great, and would use twice yearly but unfortunately the service means we will not use them again.

I deeply, deeply regret ever picking up the phone to Enterprise. Do not think you can rely on them to provide the service they advertise - they will let you down at the last minute. Just hire a removals company, or search around for a man with a van.

We had two vans booked a week in advance. One was cancelled at 5pm the day before we were due to collect it, the other was cancelled at 5pm on the day of collection! The member of staff on the phone hung up on me after breaking the news, despite me remaining calm. I had to drive to the branch just to talk to someone to ask for a refund. I was told the refund was prepaid and would be in my account within 4 days. This also turned out to be a lie, as it is going to 8 to 10 working days.

In the end, we managed to hire a team of two men and a Luton van from Coventry. It cost less than the two vans from Enterprise that we never got. Save yourself the stress and avoid Enterprise like the plague.

Rented a Luton Van from the guys are Didcot Enterprise, the time was changed from 9am to 12pm pick up which was fine as they gave us extra time to give the van back due to the time needing to be changed, unfortunately we didn’t realise how much work was involved and ran behind with the van, they offered a discount rate if we had it back by 8am unfortunately we didn’t finish til 4am that morning and didn’t get up in time, the guys at Didcot were great and extremely understanding and didn’t charge us any extra than the day rate, really appreciated there patience at such a stressful time! Would 1000000 percent recommend to anyone and would hire a van from themselves again if I needed to! Thanks again to you all at the branch

Returned my car here. Staff were friendly, parking was easy, and the process was efficient. It also helps that it’s only a few mins from the train station

Always parking on land they do not own, blocking footpaths, turning areas and churning up the grassed areas. no consideration for anyone but themselves. Multiple complaints have been made with nothing done, including Councillors etc but nothing ever changes.

Constant and consistent illegal parking in the local area by Enterprise staff which affects bus routes, and emergency access. Parking on green areas and double yellows. They receive parking tickets which the cost is passed onto customers.
Be warned your vehicle might be moved by the staff to an illegal spot and a ticket applied.
