We had a very pleasant trip on the River Alde. The crew member was very friendly, polite and informative. Plenty of free parking and disabled parking in Snape Maltings, which is right next to the boarding point. Take warm clothing, we went on a sunny day, but it was still chilly on the trip

We had a lovely trip on the Hager with Sarah. 45 minutes to Iken and back, watching birds take off from the mud flats as the tide rose, with a backdrop of a spectacular autumnal Suffolk sky. Lots to learn from Sarah about the local geography and history. Our two young daughters also got a brief go at co-piloting, which made their day!

Parking is free at Snape Maltings, and there was a nice cafe and a good selection of shops to browse before we set off on the trip.

Definitely recommend if you're staying in the area.

Went on a 45-minute boat trip on the Hagar this morning, skippered by Sarah. We chose the Hagar as it is shallower and therefore can be taken out at lower tides. We went all the way up to Iken Cliff and saw Godwit, Redshank. Heron, Little Egret, Common Tern, Curlew, Kingfisher, Cormorant and four Common Seal. Sarah gave a lovely commentary, taking in Jumbo's Cottage, how to turn a 100ft barge and the flood of 1953; it was both interesting and relaxing. Intend to book on their river trip at Orford next...

Booked a 12noon boat tour and enjoyed all the ingrediants for a perfect river trip. Drizzle. Damp. Cold.
We had a great trip, thanks lovely David despite it not being the best of days. Loved every moment of it - especially, 'that' particular story!

What a wonderful way to pass the day! We were lucky to have beautiful weather. We saw some fantastic wildlife. Our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. I honestly could have spent the whole day on that boat!
