Liked: There's a lot of pitches to choose from and many feel very secluded while still being a short walk back to the carpark.
The foraging course was amazing. My 11 year old son and I loved it, and then had a nice side of mushrooms and burdock root for breakfast on our last morning and nettle soup at home later in the week!

Liked: Amazing site with very private pitches. You really felt in the middle if nowhere and had the opportunity to get back to nature. The showers were cold but a welcome wake up in the mornings. Check in and out was easy. We wanted to stay an extra night and Henry the camp manager was on hand to sort this no problem. My partner and children loved the outdoor gym - a fab added bonus!

Liked: One of the best campsites we've come across! We received a welcome email before our arrival with all the information we needed on the campsite - Along with a map of the layout of the pitches which was extremely helpful when we arrived late as the pitches are all nestled away. There's a great mix of forest pitches too! We were camping as a family in a large tent and found the most suitable pitch to be Pitch14. This was perfect for us as you could park next to your tent - other pitches would require a walk, some up hills/through alot of greenery which would've been tricky with alot of camping gear, but wouldn't be a problem for those who pack a lot lighter than we do. The pitches are all clearly marked and have benches and fire areas ready for arrival. There's several composite toilets around the site, along with a caravan in the main carpark to collect wood etc. It's a really quirky and unique campsite, we thought the gym area was so cool! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Liked: Hands-off type of site, plenty of room between pitches, quiet. It's perfect for that 'wild camping' feel, but with the luxury of water and loos! Pitches are looked after, but not in the boring normal campsite style, it's a bit more real.

Liked: I like the fact that the campsite offers a choice between forest floor and tent pitches. I tend to use a hammock so the woods are a perfect place to hang .
I also like the fact that check in and out is at any time.
The Hunters Rest pub serves very good food and is a pleasant walk away.
Disliked: The British weather.

Liked: Secluded pitches woodland campfires , host (Henry) super
friendly and attentive but also not intrusive at all.. definately a jewel of a campsite that feels
Different (in a good way) to many other sites. Love that you aren’t all just packed in a field next to one another. Definately going to stay again !

Liked: Friendly, welcoming owner. Varied type of pitches to choose from, grass and woodland, most have fire pits. The foraging course was a real highlight and Henry kept my two young children enthralled for 90mins. I’d highly recommend doing this. Lovely back to basics nearly wild campsite. Dog friendly too.
Disliked: Road down a little uneven but no problem at all unless you’ve got a car low to the ground.

Liked: Easy to find, warm welcome by Henry. Just rock up at any time and choose your pitch. I chose pitch 9. Lovely secluded woodland pitch with my own fire pit and nearby compost toilets - very handy.
Disliked: The road down to the parking area is pretty bumpy but it’s okay as long as you take it slow. I was in a Yaris and didn’t have any problems. Apart from that there is nothing to dislike. I had torrential rain and a huge thunderstorm, so I’m looking forward to hopefully revisiting when the weather is a bit kinder.
