Giant’s Cave is part of the observatory. After paying a nominal 3£ fee, you get to go down some steep and narrow steps to an opening in the mountain. There you get a cool view of the suspension bridge and the river below. While very cool, I found the view from above much more beautiful. Basically you’re paying for the cave part.

Well priced at £5 adults, £2.50 for 4-14 year olds. Stairs are steep and cramped so I'm glad I wore the hard hat otherwise my head would have been scraping off the ceiling! View at the bottom is ok but slightly obscured by pigeon netting. Will take about 45 mins of your time if you also go upstairs to the camera obscura. Went on a weekday morning about 11am and wasn't busy.

Me and my family went there for a visit, the entrance fee was not expensive so it’s defiantly worth visiting. Need to be a bit careful with the steps and some parts of the cave is pretty narrow. But the lovely view is definitely worth it. And the cave itself it’s like from a movie. Overall we all liked it.

I went by myself and there was not enough warning by the staff about how narrow and steep it would be. I had a huge backpack and she said I could bring it down or leave with her. Good thing I decided to leave it as there was no way I could have brought it down with me! I was very nervous as it was steep and wet at some point, I was wondering if they had any cameras in case I fell, if they would even know. There were hard hats but they were dirty and didn't fit anyway.

A fun and scary experience at the same time. My knees were shaking for about 20 minutes after the visit, because of the emotions. However I did enjoy it a lot.
The view of the bridge and the Avon river is gorgeous if the weather is good.

Interesting cave accessed via the clifton Observatory. You can purchase a combined ticket with the camera obscura room though if the weather isn't sunny the camera obscura won't work. It's fine for young kids to go down the steps though not for anyone with mobility issues. The steps are quite narrow and the ceiling height is low in places. When you get to the end you're rewarded with a unique view partially down from the highpoint looking above the road and across to clifton Suspension Bridge and across Avonmouth gorge. Recommended.

Surprisingly steep set of stairs coming out onto an interesting view over the Avon gorge and Clifton suspension bridge. Some parts of the tunnel are very very tricky, don't go if you get at all claustrophobic! Pricing is very reasonable (£3), considering the steps take 5ish minutes each way, and you'll likely only spend 10 minutes at the bottom.
