Would not recommend. After 10 minutes from pre booked taxi time to southampton airport I rang to enquire where my taxi was, I was told no cars were available. Luckily i had given myself extra time as a previous booking was half an hour late. No call to inform me. No apology. Had to ask a neighbour to give me a lift. Shockingly poor service.

I specifically requested a people carrier which I didn't get, the driver on the way to Luton Airport had to perform an emerging stop as he wasn't concentrating, previous passengers Fruit shoot drink still in the car. On the return journey same again no people carrier, rear of vehicle smelt of stale cigarettes including head rests, driver was drinking his drink whilst driving, I am very disappointed with the service.

Driver late and grumbled when asked for a receipt after the transaction had gone through, without asking me if I wanted a receipt beforehand. Told me I should have told him I needed a receipt, as if it’s my job to know all their procedures. Drove off rudely without even the usual formalities. An unpleasant start to a trip.

Had a very lovely journey. Driver was on time and polite. Got us to our destination in a timely manner. Car was very clean. Very reasonable prices unlike some other Eastleigh based companies.

Drivers are a bit hit and miss. They've had a bit of an exodus in the past 12 months or so, with many of their good drivers leaving. They still have some very good drivers, but it's a bit random whether you get them, or a more average driver. HOWEVER, the main problem with 440 cars is their non-existent reliability. They continually overpromise, with taxis not turning up on time. And when you do ring to chase, you are usually told 'he'll be with you in a minute or two', yet you're still waiting 15 minutes later. Certainly, DO NOT use 440 cars if you're going to an appointment or the like. Shame, as they used to be good.

Apparently called to cancel booking in the morning!! Left no message. Now can’t get a six seater taxi at such short notice. No apologies when I rang up to check. USELESS DO NOT USE IF YOU ACTUALLY PLAN ON GETTING SOMEWHERE

Best taxi firm in Eastleigh area! Better then those users drivers from god knows where, who hang around Eastleigh for work and pick and choose which jobs they want to do please use them as there the best!!
